Useless waste of money
I bought two of these last in dec 2012 ready for the ski season as i work in the ski business and travel frequently during the winter months with skis. I tried them when we boarding the plane before take off (before electronic devices had to be switched off) to see if they picked up a signal so i would know my bags were being loaded (specially useful on connecting flights to give peace of mind that my bags had made the connection) but they did not pick up a signal. Not to mind as they were not sold on that basis, I just hoped that would be a useful side. They were sold as an aid locating a bag in the arrivals hall or if jumbled up with other luggage on a cart, etc. On arrival at airports, they sounded off correctly but only once the bags were basically coming through the doors, so it did not really give you much of an advantage over using your eyes. But worst was the fact that one of them packed up after a month. The other one packed up in the second month, that is the bleeper suddenly started going rapidly in my hotel room during the night (despite the switch being in the "off" position), just like a light indicator on a car flashing rapidly when it defaults. I tried everything to switch it off but could not and so my only choice to shut the sound off and get some peace was to break it. So two cards busted in two months and beleive me i am a tidy traveller and kept them in good condition and wrapped in small bubble wrap when not in use. This product is useless, do not buy!
