Quality art marker
Every Montana product is high quality this is no exception. It’s nice to be able to fill these up when they run out. When you’re working on a large piece this is essential and also saves some money in the long run. Buy the extra nibs and you’re set. Now go create!

Great eraser for Rocketbook
I use this with my Rocketbook notebook. I sketch in ink and then erase mistakes with this item. Instead of loading it with paint, I fill it with just water.I do need to get replacement tips, though. The ink doesn't really rinse out well. All in all, I am very happy with this product. It allows me to erase fine lines without getting water all over the page, as opposed to the watercolor pens that I had been using.

Clever way to sign my art
I paint large-scale acrylic paintings using house paint after the style of Jackson Pollock. I needed a good way to sign the paintings and these pens allow me to put some of the house paint into the pens and sign my name legibly while maintaining a unified look with the color and media. I looked a long time for a solution like this! My one complaint is that I haven't been able to figure out how to open the pen and clean it out once the paint is in there. Are they meant to be one-time use? But the box came with 6 pens so as long as I use more neutral colors I should be able to use them to sign the majority of my work, and they weren't too expensive even for a one-time use.

Best invention ever! For graphic novelist(manga artist)!
This is amazing, just like another reviewer said, this invention is genius, I work as a graphic novelist(manga artist), and filling in the blacks and drawing borders use up most of my black markers, i go through them like crazy, however conventional markers all have that piece of cotton inside that holds the ink,but its impossible to get opaque dark lines the entire time since about half way through using any marker the ink inside the cotton start to dry up so you get a dry brush effect, however i can't have that when i'm drawing borders, and its such a waste only able to use half of the marker, not to mention all the markers that gets thrown away after use(even markers like copic refillable markers makes refilling such a hassle) . but with this marker i never have that dried up look and since i'm working with liquid ink not acrylic, i don't have any flow problems, this just became my new favorite tool, AND not to mention this allows me to use the same ink that i use with my nib pens, just fantastic. Montana should advertise this toward designers and illustrators as well instead of just graffiti artists.

Its okay but it be better and easier to use
Its good but it be better and easier to use. I have to press it hard to release the ink while I'm writing otherwise I will dry out

Its like painting with a volitle popsicle stick!
I've used paint markers for a long while now. I find them very versatile and excellent for the small detailed areas. These paint markers are very different and borderline useless. I doubt the two markers I've purchased were both defective. The refilling was very easy, however the actual application almost destroyed my project.Upon actual application, paint exploded from the top and splattered all over my previous work!I thought perhaps it was just the initial application, but no each marker splats every time the tip is pressed. On top of this, the marker fails as a paintbrush/marker as well. The tip cannot hold or absorb any paint what so ever. It's essentially painting with a popsicle stick.I doubt there's any chance for a refund, so I'm essentially using them to hold paint and refill my jar for my paintbrushes.

Great for creating your own markers !
I am a blackboard artist. I bought these empty markers so that I could make my own liquid chalk markers in colors that are not available in standard marker sets. Mixing ground up chalk and making my own liquid chalk is a bit of a pain but it works just great in these refillables. These could also be filled with thinned down acrylic paint for more permanent applications. I'm very happy with this product and can recommend it.

Good but must be patient
Just fill up with paint and go to your artwork. These empty markers work good IF you can get the paint to come out: the paint MUST be thin and very liquid. Thick paint gets stuck and won't come out. You have to depress the point end over and over to "pump" it, to get the paint to come out. This takes a LONG time to accomplish. Once the paint finally comes out, you're good to go. It does NOT come with replaceable tips, so if you want to switch to another color or the tip gets worn out, you'll need to order replacement tips. I recommend this to others.

Great refillable marker
This is a very good quality refillable marker. This marker is easy to fill in/refill and has a metallic ball inside to prevent ink thickening. It is lightweight and the ink is easy to pump out. I used a mini funnel to fill in the marker and it worked perfectly. If I didn't have this funnel, I would have used a syringe. The bullet point works neatly and is very similar to Posca's.Montana ink is great but also expensive, so I'm happy being able to use other acrylic inks that are less expensive and as good. Refillable markers are a need for me as I feel self-conscious about binning good-quality plastic empty markers. So I love that I can use this over and over.A bit pricey for an empty marker, but happy to have it.

Waste of a money. did not work
I ordered the empty pen that I could fill with my own acrylic paint. Arrived on time (without instructions of how to fill) I added my acrylic knowing that it had to be thin enough to pass through the fiber nib. Having failed to work (would not flow through the nib) I emptied and refilled with a thinner paint mix. Still no good. I did this another four times (six times in all) thinning the paint mix every time until the paint was so thin that even when ap[plied with a brush it would not cover the canvas. All to no avail. I now have a pen that dose not work and four spare nibs. A tenner down the drain.
