Smells amazing. My scalp and hair love it. It’s just like maybe even better than buying the 50$ bottle for half the amount from other companies.

This stuff is possibly BETTER than the Paul Mitchell original, at least in my water? I’ve noticed that you seem to need less of it to do the job, anyhow. It’s got a much thinner texture, maybe it lathers better in hard water as a result? It’s got the “tingle” for sure, and the effects on scalp (instant dandruff clearing) are the same. Now, I will say- GVP are very transparent about their ingredients vs the original they dupe for, and because of that you can see that actual tea tree oil is a bit down the list in comparison. It also has a more minty and less “tea tree” smell than the original. This isn’t unexpected at what, 1/4 the price? But people might think about it regardless if they want high percent tea tree oil. It’s also an easy fix. So, I had some tea tree oil around already for doing soap (recommend Handcraft Blends or Mayjam- cost effective with 100% shop ratings, you can get WAY more than enough good oil for $7 or so). I dripped just a couple of drops (DO NOT add too much, tea tree is oily and mildly toxic- a dab will do you!) into the full bottle of shampoo and stirred/shook the absolute bejesus out of it until I was dead sure it was emulsified. There, sorted, the percent tea tree oil is now probably up to the Paul Mitchell percentage! So yeah, the one potential complaint I can think of is so easy and cheap to fix that I only share this so other people know about this hack!

Great product

I bought this for mu husband a few months back and once it was gone, I just picked up tea-tree shampoo elsewhere as I never make it to a beauty supply places on a regular basis. He told me he prefers this shampoo and I was happy to find it on Amazon. He's a happy camper! He says the smell is great and it works well.

I've had the name brand version of this and the generic is just as good! It conditions nicely and leaves a lovely shine to my hair.
