Review: plenty for intermittent power, would not rely on for extended power - The grid is terrible where I live. Spring rain is enough to cause intermittent power loss for like a minute at a time. I got this as a mini backup generator for my room. there are plenty of outlets on this to power a bedroom, thought you might need an extension chord or 2 depending on your layout. It can run for about 40 mins under idle load (A computer in browser, a few monitors, a router and modem, a fan, low draw stuff like that.) plenty of time to get your business wrapped up or saved. Gaming on the other hand will get you 5 - 20mins depending on the game you're playing. Enough to prevent interruption from intermittent power but not enough to keep gaming on no power. I wouldn't let it run to depletion, Its like a car battery. once its depleted, its never gonna recharge the same. I'd call It quits at 5 mins left. Also it does make a noise when the back up kicks in. A like car batteries, if you're gonna disconnect the unit for days or weeks at a time, disconnect the battery, it still have some idle load on it with nothing connected. Over all excellent purchase! 5 star
Review: Information: Multimeter Reading Low, and Why - Overview: - Apparent re-boxing - Low multimeter readings - PowerPanel Software APPARENT RE-BOXING -- So, first thing I noticed when I got this unit is that it had been re-boxed at some point. This should not be the case, because desertcart informed me this is a NEW PRODUCT. However, it was clear the tape on the LCD screen and the tape on the unit's own box had been removed and replaced at some point, leading me to think someone at desertcart Fulfillment had opened the box. That wouldn't be the first time desertcart has sent me not-quite-new items. I bought a keyboard that had scratches on the INSIDE of it, as well as a motherboard that was missing pieces. You get the idea. That is not, however, a fault of the unit, nor the company CyberPower. -- I will add that I was under the impression batteries were to be stored and shipped in a non-full state. That is NOT the case with CyberPower's units, and the batteries come fully charged, and should be stored fully charged. LOW MULTIMETER READINGS -- Due to believing this UPS unit was not brand new as desertcart had assured me, as well as having read reviews about low voltage output, I decided to put my accurate but 40-year-old multimeter to the test. Now, there is something you have to understand about multimeters, and I'm going to make this as easy to understand as I can, without myself being an expert. WARNING: Anyone who knows the proper terms and complexities of electricity, I am about to make you wince with my explanation! Now, moving on... There are two kinds of multimeter these days, to my knowledge. Average-Responding multimeters, and True-RMS multimeters. An alternating current (henceforth known as AC) typically runs as a wavy line, called a sine wave. It's very symmetrical-looking. But AC, when being interacted with by certain things, say a CyberPower power supply unit, will produce non-sine waves. What that means, is the wavy line suddenly doesn't look as smooth and symmetrical as it does in other places. But it can still carry the same voltage. This confuses your typical Average-Responding multimeter, and it spits out an inaccurate number, one that is typically lower. A True-RMS multimeter can take the numbers from even non-sine waves, which is what this unit produces, and give you an ACCURATE voltage. -- In short: I plugged my 40-year-old multimeter into the unit, it read 91.8v, and I contacted customer support. The tech told me I needed a True-RMS meter. I had NO IDEA what that meant, the tech didn't explain (fair enough), so I ended up having to learn it on my own. Now I know that the unit is fine, and not actually running a low voltage- my multimeter just isn't fancy enough. POWERPANEL SOFTWARE -- Alright, so I'm actually quite fond of this piece of software. I won't go into great detail, but I'll give some examples: the software allows you to monitor how many watts you're using, how long the battery will run should the power go out, and events that have occurred. It also lets you enable or disable the alarms, monitor how much you're spending on what's plugged into the unit based on your local power company's kWh rate, as well as giving you the ability to schedule when the computer should shut down. There's a fair bit more to the software, but that would take a bit too long.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Working great so far!
*by S***E on June 2, 2026*

Been looking into a UPS for some time now since my surge protector has been showing signs of failure recently. Came fully charged & was pretty easy to setup even though it is a bit heavy. My PC has an 850 watt power supply & it seem to run on it just fine. Also tested it by turning off the outlet I have it plugged into to simulate a blackout & it worked. With my 40 inch TV & my PC & USB powered hub plugged in I get an average of 20-25 minutes while gaming to 50-64 minutes on standby. Price of this one is good & has lots of nice features. Also seem to be regulating voltage better than my surge protector did. I used to have to ocasionaly press my paper button on my PC more than once to turn it on but that problem went away. My only two complaints are it has a slight plastic chemical smell to it but this is only noticable if you get very close to it & the outlets are a bit too close together so even though it has 6 battery outlets I only can plug in 4 to 5 things into it.
