How do you turn on the timer?

It automatically comes on when you turn it on. Don't feel bad. Took me couple minutes to figure it out. It turns color when time is up. It will seem like forever to turn off but it will.

How does the timer work? I read someone said it changes colors? I bought this as a gift, and recipient is not understanding timer function! Please hel

So the device naturally vibrates while it’s powered on however there is a burst of two larger vibrations once two minutes of brushing has taken place and then every two minutes after it will do the same thing. The colors represent the pressure that the person brushing is using by their hand, so green means you are applying the right amount of pressure, red means pressing too hard and white means not hard enough. Is there a generic toothbrush head?

I didn't see any, but 4 original heads is just around 30$. I used generic heads for other toothbrush's and the difference is huge. So please treat your dental health with 8$ head each few months.
