Solid but drawers have initial opening resistance
The chest is very solid, came assembled, only need to screw on the short legs. The only reason I have given this chest four stars instead of five is because the drawers are hard to open. The slide mechanism seems to have built in resistance to the initial pull on the drawer. Once you have opened the drawer slightly, about an inch past this initial resistance, then it pulls in and out very smoothly. Initially it took a lot of effort to open the drawer past this initial resistance, now after 2 1/2 months of repeated opening and closing it is only somewhat difficult to open. Perhaps the slide mechanism was designed this way, so that the drawers are child proof :)

Drawers stick!
Nice cabinet came assembled. All three drawers stick badly-you can open them, and they operate smoothly once you break them loose.
