If you contact us directly we can custom shape any of our LIGHTDIMS and WHITE DIMS products to fit your LED lights or covers. Unfortunately we do not offer this service via Amazon. **Q: Can these be applied directly to the surface of the led bulb?** A: 1st LightDims or WhiteDims products are only suitable for LED based lighting. But the White DIms are actually preferable for your needs in my opinion because they not only dim like the products above but they soften the lights which makes them extremely desirable. But as I said on LOW CRI rated cheap strip lights there can be an undesirable color shift if and only if you apply the WhiteDims directly on top of the LED strip lights LED. If a color shift occurs the only solution is to get some sort of gap between the LED strip light by about 1 or 3 mm then the problem goes away if there was a problem in the first place. Some customers have a plastic cover over the strip to begin with, if you have that there is no risk of a color shift. If the light has a cover, it is generally better practice to put LIGHTDIMS on the inside or outside of the cover vs directly on the LED bulb/diode, both for safety and aesthetics. LIGHTDIMS are rated up to 205 degrees F or 96c. Beyond these temperatures the material starts to get soft.
