Product as described. It's well built. Bought for my mobile phone, which doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone socket. It works very well!

When Apple changed from using its Lightening cables for charging and data transfer, to USB 3, users were left with a collection of old cables they couldn’t use. While the old Lightening cables couldn’t handle the data transfer speeds of USB 3, they were just fine for charging your new iPhone. These adapters made it possible to do just that. They slide on to the end of your Lightening cable and connect to the new standard. They also come with a tether so that you can use your cable with your old devices and not worry about losing the adapter. These are well made, work as intended and solve a real need. Note that the company has a series of other similar adapters as well.

I bought these USB C to 3.5mm adaptors because I have multiple dock stations and speakers. They work as described. The volume control works with the (computer) system volume up and down. I also discovered a feature that I had not counted on and I appreciate SO MUCH! Read on... I got a USB C to 3.5mm adaptors with my Dell XPS 13 (9320) computer and was using it. The problem with the Dell adaptor is when I disconnect the computer from the dock station (Dell WD22TB4), the speakers gave a very loud hum/buzzing noise. I mean LOUD! I had to turn off the speakers whenever the computer is not connected to the dock station (even with the volume low). From my research, this is caused by the speakers and the sound source not having a common ground, which is not uncommon (no pun intended!). The other day, I used one of these adaptors with one of the dock stations and I didn't have the hum/buzz. So I just replaced the Dell adaptor with this one on a different dock station (same make/model) and HOLY MOLEY! THERE'S NO HUM/BUZZ! I don't know what's different about these adaptors. Maybe the ground is isolated... All I know that it works for me on 2 of my dock stations. I cannot state that this will resolve the hum/buzz on all computers/dock stations but it works for me and I'm super happy! YMMV...

I just bought a new phone not realizing the charger connection has been changed once again. So thank goodness for these Lightening to USB adapters to save the day and prevent my current chargers from becoming useless. So far they work great and don’t negatively impact the speed or connection etc. They even come with little clips to attach them to the cord so they don’t get lost. And they come in several colors too. The price is very reasonable and costs much less than it would cost to purchase all new chargers. Very pleased overall.
