RMR Cover Plate for Glock 17 19 26 Cut Slides Anodized Aluminum

Brief history, I purchased a used Glock pistol that had a "Holowsun" optic sight installed. I put the sight on a different pistol, and that is when I noticed the original cover plate was not in the box with this pistol. So I looked online, found this, and ordered it.When it came in, and I attempted to install it, I found that it was not going to work for me. As you can see in the pic, it does not lay flat, and because of that, the screws do not grab much more than 1/2 thread into the pistol. Certainly not enough to think they will hold. Not enough to even feel I should try to tighten them for fear they would strip-out.So....My pistol is a G47. And while not mentioned specifically here, the G47 is mentioned in the listings of other replacement cover plates that also work on the G17,19,26, and more. From that, I felt this one would work as well.I do not see others saying they have the same issue, so today, I contacted Glock. What I learned is that the G47 takes a different plate, the same as the G45. So this plate is not supposed to work on my pistol. This error is all on me due to what I had read about other cover plates. Those who advertise their cover plate as fitting all of those models either have a generic modification where it probably won't fit either of them well. Or, they are just wrong. I have no way to know which of those is true. What I do know is this plate will not fit a G47.I do have a G19 as well. When I put this cover on that slide...it fits as it should. So I am just trying to let folks know what I experienced.

Fits great on my aftermarket g19 slide not sharp and color looks good! came with 2 sets of different size screws that fit as well!

The fit will be off if you have a custom slide. Also the other thing is the finish is very glossy. Overall, the quality is solid.

Slide makers have different ideas of the specs of an RMR cut so you never know if a plate will fit until you try it.I bought two of these for P80 slides, and they fit them perfectly, the bevel even matches, so all good there.The two negatives are:As many have said the finish is very glossy/shiny, which doesn't match the matte finish of most slides. Not a big deal, I'd prefer matte but I'm ok with these.The screws are very short! I used the 6/32's and they engaged by just 3/4 of a rotation of thread, not even a full turn. The do seem secure but two turns would be a lot better.All in all good enough. Cheers!

2 stars only because the plate actually fits. It has sharp edges, machine marks on all surfaces, and has a very shiny GLOSS Black finish. It is nice that it comes with two sets of screws for different threads but the screws are too short and will only thread into the slide with 1 or 1-1/2 threads catching. My picture shows what it looks like on a Black Nitride slide. I didn't use a flash for the picture, the shine is from an overhead light. I'm returning the ones I bought and will buy a better quality cover plate. It's worth the extra money to not have to smooth down the sharp edges and then refinish it. The picture they are using must be filtered to make it look like a dull finish. What you are going to get is more in line with my picture. I purchased 12 and all of them were the same GLOSS Black.

No need to fit drop in nice price

Wouldn’t fit. Not even close to fitting. Not even the right screws to attach it. Said for Glock. But NO. Amazon made me re-do this because they couldn’t handle the truth of how i actually felt about it. One star to post

Fit on a slide that didn't come with one. Is what it is it's a piece of thing that covers a thing piece of tape would probably work well too but it's smoother nicer looking probably more protective all of that if you're into how things look. Definitely give it five stars for the price compared to some options out there that are 30 40 50 bucks
