I generally fish from my kayak. So I just some fishing line to connect the transducer to my kayak and it floats around me. I mainly was interested in this so that I could determine depth to fish at and get an idea of where the fish are. My only issue is not know where it is on its scanning rotation. The battery is alright, enough for a day to fish.
