Great for Travel
These are not soft and plush like terry towels. They do not absorb the same way as terry towels. It's more like you wipe your body with it and think you aren't drying, and then you are suddenly quite dry. It's different but effective. (I am a small woman. I cannot speak to how this works for a large person with a lot of body hair.)I bought these to take to the gym for my post-swim shower. I'm 5'3", and the 30x60 works as a body towel -- it falls to within an inch or two of my knees. I love how much less space it takes up in my very full swim bag. I was so pleased with this as a body towel that I bought a smaller one (24x48) for my long hair, and it works great as a hair towel. I haven't noticed any damage since I started using it.I've been so pleased with these that I bought more for the beach because they pack down so small. Since I used these on a beach chair, I can't speak to how well they repel sand, but because they don't have loops like a terry towel and the nap is minimal, I suspect they collect less sand. Traditional beach towels are more snuggly, but I liked having less bulk to cart across the sand. Also, my skin in sensitive to bleach, so these have been really handy in hotel rooms -- I use one of these instead of the bleached towels. The bag that the towel comes in is handy if, like me, you don't like thinking about dirty things rubbing against your towel. The towel has a loop that allows it to hang securely, so you're less likely to have your towel fall on floor of the public shower. That said, the 30x60 is so long that it might drag on the floor. You can hang the towel kinda folder, or loop an end back through the loop. (You can also hang the towel inside its carrying bag.) That loop was useful during travel when going from the hotel where I just used the towel to the car with ten hours of driving to go. I can hang the towel by the loop on my car's backseat hook (by a backseat window) and feel that the towel is drying better than it would stuffed in a bag.Overall, great product, great for travel.

Works pretty well for my needs
We just got back from a trip to Europe. I knew we'd be washing clothes in the sink several times on the trip. Rolling wet clothes in a towel to squeeze out extra moisture means...very wet towels that don't dry. Ick.I decided to get this in the hope that it would work for that purpose. Answer is: yes! It opens up quite wide (I got the 40x72" size). After washing some clothes in the sink, I squeezed out water by wringing them, then I hung them up for a bit (30 minutes or so?) to drip. After a little squeeze of the bottom (the water would collect at the bottom), I put the garments on the towel. I could fit 2 pairs of crop pants plus a shirt or 2 on this towel. Then I rolled the towel up tightly to squeeze out more moisture. Unrolled this towel (which was really wet now), and hung up the clothes. I also draped this towel over the edge of a door or shower door.It did dry overnight.I washed it when I got home (in a washer & dryer--not the sink!), and it's good as new.Very lightweight and folds up compactly. There's even a zipper pouch in one corner--I guess if you take it to the beach, you could put your watch, keys, etc. in the pouch. We didn't try that out.Glad I got it. Husband said we wouldn't need it, but...was glad we had it.

Your Ultimate Travel & Sports Essential!
I recently got my hands on the Rainleaf Microfiber Towel, and it has proven to be an incredible addition to my gear. This multi-functional towel features fast-drying, super absorbency, and ultra-compact features, making it perfect for camping, backpacking, and more. You can use it during a sweaty hike or workout session, and it will absorb all the sweat to leave you feeling clean. I discovered that when you wet this towel, wring it, and then drape it around your neck, the towel keeps you cool and refreshed. As for compactness, this towel takes the crown! It folds down to about the size of my hand, taking up minimal space in my bag or backpack. It's a dream come true for travelers and backpackers who want to save every inch of space. The durable construction of the Rainleaf Microfiber Towel is a huge plus. It can withstand frequent use and washing without losing its quality or absorbency. It has become a reliable companion in all my adventures.

Perfect towel for the gym, travel, and more!
I have two of these towels, a large one and a small one. I live on a boat, where space is limited and the fact that these towel fold up incredibly small is my favorite thing! My second favorite thing is how fast they dry when hung up, so that I can store them away without having to wait hours and hours for them to dry in my compartment. I use the small towel at the gym and it is super absorbent and super lightweight, I usually forget it is on me. Fantastic towel, definitely recommend.

Best Camping Towel Ever
We had a recommendation to buy Pack Towls for our camping trips and were looking for a less expensive option. These towels are awesome. Much softer than I expected, super absorbent and yet they barely feel wet after you use them. Dried so fast we could put them back in the camper so they didn’t get damp overnight. Plus the hook keeps them from falling on the ground in windy conditions. Highly recommend!

Works well, nicely made
I watched a YT video of a one armed Australian man showing how he dries himself after showering, ahead of my rotator cuff surgery and he was into these towels so I got one. It worked well, but I found that a light weight regular bath towel and a hand towel were more useful for this application. However, this is a good one of what it is and would be useful for camping trips or even drying the car instead of a chamois.

Dries fast, soft and pretty
Got these for our earthquake kits, but took them out to inspect and wash. The colors are lovely (we go the teal, chartreuse and navy), they wash up really well, dry really, really, really fast, and repack into the very nice container bag (which I also washed) very easily. I figure these would serve well as a towel or even a blanket and recommend the 30x60 size, which is the size of a "bath sheet" - in other words, a good-sized towel. We may have to get more because these would work very well at the beach.
