Targus Laptop Bag, Fits Laptop up to 16", Case for Travel and Business, Padded Shoulder Strap, Front Storage Pocket – Black

I decided to purchase the clam shell classic version of the bag because I was just looking for a low cost yet well made bottom range laptop case so I could take my heavy laptop as a personal item for air travel. This bag has not disappointed and has met my expectations well and I'm pleased with my purchase - Material: The bag itself is made of a nylon material which In the past I've found to be durable for these types of item. Whilst not glamorous or fancy or nice to the touch it will certainly be quite hard wearing. I expect it to last me for a long time to come. The stitching overall is solid I haven't noticed any frays or imperfections on my bag. There is padding but it's not as extensive as you would find on higher priced models. It's not so much as a protective case than it is a bag with padding. This may matter to some people but for myself wasn't terribly important - Shoulder Strap: It is very much your standard fare for this type of item you won't find fancy padding or rubberised non slip, it's just a basic strap this solid clips. - Main compartment: This can be unzipped both sides vertically to the bottom of the bag providing good access to insert or remove your laptop. On the opposite side is a document and pen pocket. - Front pocket: It expands slightly allowing you to use it for storing a few peripherals or possibly travel documents. - Top Handle: It's sturdy and not going to let you down even for heavier machines. There is really very little padding so If you're interesting in a 17 inch version of the bag you may want to consider that as heavier loads may not be as comfortable to carry for long periods. Overall I don't think you can beat this bag for it's value for money in the bottom range of laptop bags. It may not be for everyone but for the budget conscious traveller it's a winner in it's class..

High quality as you would expect from a brand like tarsus. Pleased with this item. Very practical.

Does the job fine for the money but not my preferred bag

I bought this for my personal laptop as my partner has a work bag from the same company. It’s very sturdy and roomy. Good to have a long strap option though I prefer the short handle. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my work laptop which gets far more abuse and it’s holding up brilliantly.

Product as described

This case has more than paid for itself, I previously bought a much more expensive (and prettier) case however it didn't last and the handle broke off dropping my laptop on the floor. This case was a fraction of the price and whilst it may not win any prizes for its looks it definitely is the sturdiest case I have ever used. It has been great for transporting my laptop/tablet to and from university everyday. It is also incredibly useful on the train if I come home for the weekend. I've had it for months and it is still in perfect condition, it has definitely double or triple sewn. Plus it has lots of pockets so you can easily store lots of other things as well (diaries, pen, paper pads etc). Highly recommend to everyone who needs something durable and reliable and not pretty.

For a start this was delivered on a Sunday which i was very happy with. The item came in a strong cardboard box and once inside it was wrapped in a clear plastic bag. On the outside it has a front Velcro pocket with a flap over and a rear Velcro pocket without flap and a sturdy handle. Opening it the zips do feel a little flimsy but with care should be OK. The inside top panel has 3 elasticated pen holders, a credit card or business card slot and a non Velcro slid compartment. It also has 3 netting pockets(2 small 1 larger). On the lower panel inside you have a large compartment which a 15.6 laptop would fit very nicely into and 2 Velcro straps to wrap over the top to hold your laptop in place. Loose inside to use if you please is a shoulder strap at attach to the loops on the outside. For under £10 this is well worth the buy and with the super fast delivery I'm pleased I purchased it.

Ideal for both my laptops, also space for documents and cables. Looks good and sturdy, delighted with it.
