Wax Polish Black Bison Paste Clear 500ml

Discovered this about twenty years ago and have never used anything else for wood. Wood needs extra care in centrally heated homes so regular use of a quality wax polish is essential. This definitely does the job. The shine of the final polish is dependent on the finish on the wood. If it has been French Polished, this will bring out an incredible shine with a little bit of work. The same applies to traditional English finishes but also modern varnishes. You won't get the full benefit of a wax polish on varnish because it will not feed the wood underneath, (there are cheaper alternatives if you are polishing modern varnished wood).

I have a gorgeous sideboard in a bedroom that is pure wood. This polish keeps it looking good for months and months. When guests create water stains, it gets them out quickly and restores the wood to its former beauty. This is my go-to polish, a class act and smells great and I have used it for over 30 years.

I previously used a polish bought from a well known oak furniture company and this compared very well. It was really easy to apply and the furniture looked great, the four stars are because I feel it needs reapplying sooner. I would recommend this especially for the price.

Excellent Product, Had new windows fitted and a lovely job of teak surround, wire wooled it for a lovely smooth finish, and then applied Black Bison Clear, Goes on lovely with a soft cloth, let it dry and applied a second coat, let it dry again (20mins) and then buffed it up with soft cloth. Lovely natural lustre finish to our surrounds, looks brill. If it fades or looks tired, apply a coat , dry and re buff., it also smells pleasant. Well worth it for the natural effect of wood .

Easy to use product, but must remember to apply as evenly as possible and leave sufficient time to fully harden before buffing to the required level of shine.

Fabulous product. Great results. I’d get them to put it in a jar with a screw top but otherwise, really brilliant!

Love this stuff! I try other waxes every now and then, but nothing compares to black bison. Smells lovely, gives great results and is so easy to apply. Leaves a silky smooth finish and shine that gets better with each coat. I use it on both bare wood projects and over chalk paint (clear wax).

Good product rubbish delivery

Bought a used Mission dining room table on Craigslist, in pretty good shape, but the top surface was damaged and stained. After stripping off the old finish, I removed a black stain with hydrogen peroxide, sanded with several increasingly finer grits, applied two coats of boiled linseed oil, and very lightly sanded with 400 between coats. Finally, applied several very thin (not thick) coats of Liberon wax with 0000 steel wool. My suggestions: Rub with the grain only, NOT circular like waxing a car. Do NOT rub perpendicular to edges, go with the grain only. This is wonderful wax that leaves a great finish and has a very fresh and pleasant aroma. Highly recommended!

This is a great wax for my Danish and Chinese furniture. Highly recommend.

I like this stuff. I used it on a very vintage bronze statue, it lifted away some areas of green corrosion, then after another lighter application had dried, I gave the surface a super light handed buffing, voilá, looks professionally restored. Please note, I was advised by the manufacturer that this is not approved for such purpose. But I am going to use it for exactly that, again and again. Results don't lie.

This is one of the better paste waxes out there - highly recommended.
