Brilliant ANC
I have owned my Bose QC Earbuds II for around 18 months now and I am so satisfied with them. I was fed up with the lack of depth that my AirPods offered, and rather than go for the AirPods Pro I decided to opt for a company that I know is known for excellent sound quality.First of all, I love the design with the off-white colour. I’ve always liked the glossy white of the AirPods but the metallic finish on these just looks so premium. As for the functionality, the touch controls work well and I’ve never had an issue. Being able to swipe to increase and decrease volume is a great feature and they have never put a foot wrong. I’m not someone who has ever had an issue with headphones falling out so I am probably not the best to judge this but they fit my ears so well. There are also multiple silicone fittings provided so you can attach the ones which suit you best. I’ve not tested them when running but I believe the fit is secure enough that it wouldn’t be an issue. The battery life is impressive. I haven’t really tracked this but I am able to go for days without having to charge them with 3-6 hours use per day. The USB-C charging allows for super fast charging anyway. It seems to say 100% for a while and then once it hits 90% it drops more quickly, so just be aware of that. Finally, the sound quality is fantastic and the ANC blocks out almost any noise. Being on the bus or in the busy city centre, I seldom hear any sounds barring maybe a police/ambulance siren. The only thing I can knock these for is, especially during the initial phase of owning them, I had a lot of very brief, sporadic distortion, especially when using my phone. I was told that this was an issue that was known and they were working on a fix, and now this issue has all but gone as I don’t remember the last time this happened. This links to the app that is required to use them, which will download any updates and also has an equaliser. One final note is that I wish these did what the AirPods did in terms of playing through the phone speaker when the headphones aren’t in ear. However, just get into the habit of always putting them back in the case.Overall, I’d recommend these to anybody. You get exactly what you pay for: stylish design, top of the range ANC, great sound quality. You can rarely go wrong with Bose.

Still the best ANC earbuds
I've had these on and off for two years, they're a secure fit, the sound clarity and deep bass are great, and the noise cancelling is beyond compare. They're that good. Too good, I have to have transparency mode on or I get random things thrown at me for ignoring my wife (you can't hear her enter the room otherwise.) As I have noisy daughters I can always flick to silent bliss with a one finger hold.I even upgraded to the Bose ultra earbuds with more spatial effects, which felt more like a head turning gimmick to me, these do the essentials well. Fancy Apple buds didn't have the same level of NC and never fit properly, tried cheaper brands which either didn't fit, sounded tinny or one didn't work at all. So back to these classics. Why did I stop, then? I didn't. There's a design flaw with the USB C connection in the battery case. It breaks at the connection point and won't charge. I've had to send 4 back to Bose in Belgium? At £275 you'd expect better. Expectations managed I got these for @£150 on a short term Amazon deal. Now the sweepstakes is open for how long this charging case works with a lucky dip on whether people can hear me on the microphone...That said, so happy. They're like an old friend for my ears.

Fell apart after one year
When these earbuds first arrived I was over the moon. The sound quality was not like anything I have heard before. The aware feature is magnificent, the quiet mode is staggeringly immersive. I thought I had found the perfect earphones for work. One year on and they have completely fell apart. Admittedly I have been using them for over eight hours a day, but I have took great care in them and honestly I would expect better build quality for a high end product. The left ear bud was the first to fail. When I went to remove the ear bud from my eair the casing from the speaker became detached, leaving it lodged in my ear. It was very panic inducing, although I did manage to free relatively easily. The right ear bud then failed a couple months later. Again it was part of the casing becoming detached, this time the back cover. This failure was much less detrimental, but again a huge let down for what I thought was a high end; quality product.I have later had these defects repaired third party, as Bose said they could only offer a discount for a nee pair. Now fully repaired they have returned to their former glory. In conclusion, they are a technologically a masterpiece, boasting amazing sound quality and great features; but I just can not get over the lacklustre build quality. I have seriously been discouraged from buying another Bose product again. (Edit): Now 1 year and 6 months in and the right earbud now completely doesn’t work. The battery has degraded enough that it will no longer charge. Which results in me not being able in connecting the last working earbud. You can get earbuds at the same build quality for 10% of the price of this garbage. I have purchased the Apple airpods pro 2nd generation, the same price as these and they seem to have better build quality and are not riddled with the technical difficulties that you will encounter with Bose. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BUYING A BOSE PRODUCT.
