Store It Out MAX

With so many reviews stating damaged items with packaging in good condition I was very much aware of the gamble in ordering, the only saving grace was it being fulfilled by Amazon in case of returns. the packaging was good and after carefully opening the box (just in case of re-packaging) all sections were undamaged. I can only guess that it depends on the courier who delivers to us or the delivery to amazon depot, but with the amount of damaged packages even now should be investigated. anyway the item: As mentioned by other reviewers there is a metal trim that you could miss if not careful, this is stored at the back of the base unit and should be removed ready to be used at the top of the back panel. all other items are clearly bagged and/or labelled including each item having it's code stamped on it. the instructions are pictorial but without written guidance, so take your time looking at the picture and component for each stage and you will find it reasonably easy to assemble. it does suggest 2 people but I think this is just for the lid fixture which is the hinge part and does require 2 people, but the rest is easy enough for one person assuming reasonable DIY skills. there is NO pre-drilling needed as suggested by some reviews, the screw holes are clearly marked and the screws are self drilling and there are quite a few of them so would suggest an electric screwdriver. The back panel (two section folded piece) is a little fiddly to get in the side panels as it bows in the middle where the fold is but once one side is in it becomes a little easier, note it states the fold slot should face inwards as shown on the instructions so check this before hand to avoid having to take it out again. all the rest of the assembly is relatively straight forward if you take your time. NOTE: When it states to be placed on level ground, this is true as if particularly uneven the doors will not line up properly making it hard to close the doors and the lid, I had prepared a level section for it but the area I used for assembly was not as level which is where I noticed the issue. if you do have uneven ground look at packing sections up to get it reasonably level. after assembly as mentioned by others it is a little flexible on the side panels which gives the impression it is flimsy but once you have it in position it is sturdy enough if not moved around often, suggested tools: electric screwdriver, screwdriver medium size and level ground. overall I am very pleased with delivery, quality and value for money, if not moved around often this should last several years but as with anything plastic try if possible to keep it out of the sun as over the years it will become brittle. Even with all the damaged on delivery issues I would take the gamble again as it is a good product. We’ve got a couple of these Store It Out Max garden storage cabinets and they’re certainly the best ones we’ve seen. At the same time I also bought a Keter De-Luxe Storage Box which isn’t up to the standard of this one, but there is a big price difference. We’d seen the Max at a number of places and the colour seems to change depending on the store. Costco had it as all brown, Homebase was beige with a green lid and Amazon’s is beige with a brown lid. We preferred the brown lid so chose Amazon, who were also the cheapest. The Max was delivered intact, which I note a few reviewers saying it came damaged. It’s a big heavy parcel and I can understand a few getting knocked about. Once unpacked there are quite a few pieces but the instructions are clear and concise and I was able to build it in about 20-30 minutes on my own. It does suggest having a second person to help put the roof on but it’s manageable. All of the parts fitted together nicely and the finished product is very sturdy. It takes two people ideally to move it around the garden so unless you have a helper do try to build it close to its final resting location. The latches and bolts are all very good and with a decent padlock the whole thing is very secure. The only note against it would be that the back panel is not solid plastic like all other panels, but a thinner corrugated plastic. Most importantly to me though is that after a few months of British summer downpours the Max has been completely waterproof. One of ours stores our BBQ, charcoal, kindling and logs and they’re all protected from the elements. The other Max we have stores two large sized wheelie bins, the lids of which open as you lift the lid of the Max by a connecting metal chain and hook. It’s a very impressive store which I have no doubt will last many years.

Item received earlier than expected which was great. Was very disappointed to quickly realise that parts were missing, I didn't expect that of keter so was not happy at all, I immediately called keter customer services only to be placed in a very large queue. So I did my ironing, then hoovered the house, cleaned the bathroom and did the dishes, came back to the phone and was in queue position 5. I think it is safe to say that I was pretty unhappy at this point, over an hour's wait with terrible hold music and regretting my purchase. So I finally heard a voice and it was my turn, the gentleman that dealt with my call scored 100% on customer service, fantastic, polite, apologetic, and efficiently ordered my parts very quickly. I was told I should receive these in 3days. So let's get to the product, I've been able to build the majority of this and will add the missing parts once they arrive. I was able to put it together by myself in not long at all really. Had a struggle with the back panel and in the end this took longer to fit than it did to put the rest of it together, could have done with a second person there but a tree stump seemed to work just as well in the end. I was surprised that the back panel was not made of the same plastic as the rest of it, but I'm sure there's some technical reason for that. All parts fitted as they should, all holes matched up, no gaps or worrying joints. It all feels strong and sturdy and perfect for the job. I think it's important to add also that the floor panel is extremely strong, I know from shopping around that some other brands have week feeling floors that I would be scared to stand on, this one is perfect and the quality that I would expect from keter, paying a few pounds more pays off with this product. I have carpel tunnel in both wrists so was a little worried that I would have problems lifting the roof, I needn't have worried, the hinges take all of the weight off the lid when opening and closing is no issue either. The locks on the doors are a slight challenge for me as they require hand/wrist strength, but this fact means that the product closes very well and feels strong and secure. I would highly recommend this product (even with the missing parts issue) such a quality item, loads of room inside for my lawnmower, kids bikes and garden toys, and actually looks pretty smart too. I would have given 5stars but had to knock a star off for the disappointing fact that parts were missing.

Die Box wurde schnell geliefert, und der Aufbau ging auch flott. Die Anleitung dazu ist einfach, und sehr verständlich. Die verpackung ist groß genug, um entsprechend auf den Boden gelegt, bequem zusammenbauen kann, auch im Hof, ohne etwas zu zerkratzen. Wenn man Schritt für Schritt die Anleitung befolgt, man kann eigentlich nichts falsch machen. Ich habe sie allein in 1 Stunde aufgebaut. Lediglich beim Einsetzen der Rückwand ist es hilfreich, wenn jemand die andere Seitenwand dagegen hällt. Das wegen der grösse der Box. Das ausgeklügelte Stecksystem sorg dafür, daß man die Teile gar nicht falschrum stecken kann. Was anfangs noch etwas flatterig scheint, nachdem alles zusammengesteckt ist, steht das Ganze Bomben fest. Kleine Wermutstropfen: Die Metallstrebe (Einziger Metallteil) war bei mir leider ein halber Zentimeter zu lang, dadurch die zwei Seitenwände passten gar nicht zusammen. Ich habe einen Trick gemacht, links und rechts ein bisschen erweitet, und mit den Schrauben festgemacht. Die Box steht stabil da, wenn auch nicht so wie es nach dem Stecksystem sein sollte. Daher immer vor dem Zusammenbau unbedingt prüfen, ob die Länge der Metalstrebe exakt die Breite der Rückwand hat, und ggf. vor dem Einbau kürzen. Aber ich hoffe, daß das das nur bei mir vorgekommen ist. ( Diesbezüglich habe ich den Hersteller angeschrieben. Leider habe ich bis heute keine Antwort bekommen). Was noch wichtig ist: - Zum eindrehen der Schrauben unbedingt eine Akkuschrauber verwenden, da mit der Hand sehr mühsam ist. - Den Riegel ERST in den Griff "einklicken", und dann auf die Tür schrauben, sonst lassen die festen Schrauben das gar nicht zu. Diese Hinweis fehlt leider aus der Anleitung, aber es ist sehr wichtig. Zu der Haltbarkeit kan ich nur folgendes sagen: Wir haben auf dem Grundtsück noch zwei Boxen. Zwar die kleineren versionen (Midi) aber schon seit etwa 8 Jahren, und trotz mehrmaligen Standortwechsel funktionieren und sehen beide heute genauso aus wie am ersten Tag. Wer so etwas nötig hat, bekommt eine schöne und haltbare Box.

I bought two. Both arrived damaged in separate packages. Each package was intact, but the content is poorly protected and moves around in the package, so it can easily be damaged. I glued the damaged elements, because I did not want to send them back and wait a month again (this was how long it took to deliver the product, despite the 3 days promised when ordering). The product itself meets the expectations, but it is poorly packed, so now I have to live with glued elements.

Contenitore capiente, stabile e ben fatto. Assemblaggio semplice (anche una sola persona) ed istruzioni a corredo finalmente esaustive. Altamente consigliabile l'uso di un avvitatore elettrico. Ho installato un ripiano interno (non in dotazione) per ottimizzare lo spazio. Estremamente soddisfatto dell'acquisto.

Super coffre de rangement en plastique. C’est vraiment ce que je désirais.👍🏼

Diese Mülltonnenboxen sind gut verpackt und pünktlich angekommen. Der Aufbau verlief auch alleine hervorragend. Alle Teile sind beschriftet und passen super. Sind Riegel und Deckel eingerastet tolle Stabilität. Zu empfehlen.
