Great pedal, great service. An absolute must have!
This is an absolutely amazing pedal. I have had it about a week from writing this review and I have to say, I absolutely love it. Here are some pros and cons:Pros:It's small size and fairly light weight make it very pedal board friendlyIt doesn't require a separate amp to power itLong sound tube allows the pedal to be placed a reasonable distance from the mic standIt has a distinct sound, and can be very expressive if used correctly when soloing through itIt has a surprisingly wide range of tones, ranging from Peter Frampton's "Show me the way" through to Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a prayer"Can be used with most electric instruments, but works best with keyboards and guitarsIt can be used as a practice amp if you take the tube out of itIt will instantly make any riff/solo you play sound more awesome!Cons:When learning how to use it, your local shop will run out of paracetamol due to the Jaw Ache you will experienceIt is difficult to "Talk" with it, because some letters such as "C" cannot be made without you having to speak with itIt doesn't work well with high pitched notes, so it has little effect when soloing above the 12th fret on a guitarThe tone control doesn't have a lot of control over the tone, so an EQ pedal would be needed to make large changes in soundOverall this is a great sounding pedal, and can be used to make some interesting sounds and effects. I love this pedal and am giving it 5 Stars because it absolutely deserves it. Rich Tone Music (The guys I brought it from) sent it out immediately, and I have never had any grief with their customer service. It arrived exactly as they listed it and in only 2 days, when they said it could take up to 8. They deserve just as much praise as this pedal does! Here are Some tips for guitar players I have picked up from using it:It works well with thick sounding instruments, so use a humbucker equipped guitar in a drop tuning will produce the best resultsWhen soloing with it, use the lower end of the guitar. The higher notes don't work as well and are actually harder to play because you can't look down at your fretboard easily when you are using the talkboxWhen playing power chords, add a lower 5th where you can. It will really thicken out the sound and make it more gravellyUse a gain pedal to boost the gain in the pedal, as you may find it doesn't quite have enough for lead playingOne last thing, I would use it in the effects loop if possible, again to get the thickest sound you can

Excellent publication
This volume was recommended to my friend and myself as suitable for our level of expertise on the piano (grade 4-5). We have mad a start and find the layout excellent. There is a good variety of music, with interesting arrangements and levels of challenge.

The delivery was really great my issue was with having to spend more money ...
I've been wanting one of these for years and when I finally received it I could not use it straight away due to the fact the product came with a 2 pronged plug power supply rather than a 3 pronged, I had to go a fair bit away to get a plug converter when I did though it worked perfectly. The delivery was really great my issue was with having to spend more money on a proper power adaptor that should have came with it in the first place.

Will give you electric shocks if used for recording without an amp. Very poor show from MXR.
So, I bought this pedal to use without an amp, for recording. The problem is that without a grounded amp on the output of the pedal, there is no route for the leakage current from the power supply to get to ground other than through your mouth when it touches the microphone. Ouch! Typical for a switch mode power supply, the leakage current builds up an AC voltage of 115v on the power supply plug, which the pedal transfers onto the strings of the guitar and then, zap! Only a limited amount of charge but enough to hurt. With an amplifier connected to the output of the pedal, this charge has a route to ground and is not a problem but if you are looking to use this for recording as well as performance, you will need to bear this in mind. This is a poor design decision from Dunlop/MXR as there are better choices for power supplies which do not do this. I would much rather pay an extra couple of pounds rather than getting zapped in the face.

Not good enough quality for the money. 2 of the feet were off before it was out of the box.
