Does this come with bales?

Yes, comes with proper Bails - a pretty sturdy set of stumps. - our 13 yr old bowls at them most evenings. They do tend to fall over when hit.

How do you attach the springs? It seems impossible!

Hi. Its been years since I purchased mine and I think the springs where attached. However have just asked my son who gave me a demonstration. Hook the middle spring first to the stump which is standing upright. You just have to keep pulling until you get the other end attached. Because the springs are new, it will be very hard. Once you've got that one on, do either side. I think its a matter of eating spinach for breakfast, dinner, tea then going for it. Good luck.
