Weleda Skin Food, 30ml

As a Nurse my hands are getting even more rough treatment now than usual so I needed a hand cream that would really soften and mositurise my very dry hands. I read an article where a dermatologist went through their skincare routine and this was mentioned so I thought I would give it a try. Firstly, it works brilliantly. I put it on at night and wear a cheap pair of gloves. In the morning my hands are so soft, supple and hydrated. It really is a fantastic cream. Secondly, the tubes are small (30ml) but you only need a small amount as it is so thick! However, it spreads nicely on my hands. Finally, my only gripe is the smell. You do get a whiff of some essential oils but they cannot mask the awful smell. Some people may like the smell but I cannot stand it. Still, I am not that bothered as I put my gloves on so can't smell it . Overall, this is a brilliant hand cream. I have already recommended this to my colleagues and I will be buying this again.

Great product for dry skin, hands feel lovely and soft!

I bought this for my husband who has been struggling with eczema for years. I read it could help and decided to give it a go. He tried many creams and few prescribed ones, nothing ever really worked and if it helped only for a while until the skin adjusted. He is on his third tub now and skin is as good as it was when it healed after 2 weeks of application. He said he noticed the difference pretty much straight away. And compared to others he doesn't have to reapply few times a day. The only thing I could complain about is the smell, it is noticeable, not not bad if you like citric scents, I don't. But it is a natural scent not a chemical one like you get with the others. I just prefer unscented creams. He uses it on his face, neck and arms.

Very rich moisturising and nourishing day and night cream. I use it on rough, dry skin on the body; hands, elbows, knees but not on my face as its too rich. It would be ideal as a protective cream in harsh weather or outdoors in winter. Contains extracts of soothing chamomile, calendula, wild pansy and a blend of enriching oils and waxes to provide a fine protective barrier against wind and weather. Lanolin, Almond oil and Peanut oil are three of the main ingredients of the base. Lanolin, chemically, is almost identical to sebum, the natural oil produced by the skin. It is therefore an ideal substance to ‘feed’ to dry skin. Both Almond and Peanut oil soften and soothe the skin and also assist in the penetration of other soothing, rejuvenating ingredients. Weleda Skin Food can be used as a nourishing day and night cream. It is good for rough, dry skin anywhere on the body; face, hands, elbows, knees etc. It can be used as a protective cream in harsh weather and is excellent for anyone regularly out of doors. Directions for use: Apply sparingly as required. Gently smooth into the skin. On the face avoid area around the eyes. Intensive care for hard working hands: apply liberally, cover with cotton gloves and leave overnight. Weleda Skin Food is suitable for vegetarians.

My little girl suffers from eczema, leaving her skin red, itchy and sore. She put some Weleda skin food in a hanky and tied it onto the affected area when she went to bed at night. A few weeks later, eczema gone. Her skin is soft and smooth. What's more the cream has a lovely rosemary oil scent. Be aware it does contain lanolin (my wife is allergic to this) and is not cheap, but it is very good.

If u have psoriasis this is perfect..... It really works and lasts hours.... I'm going to be putting my story in the psoriasis booklet which is every 3 months so other sufferers can try this product... Only downside need a bigger tube or tub of this... Good for the money highly recommend

The product works, I bought some ages ago in a tube that was double this size, so when this arrived I was a bit disappointed with the price. And luckily it isnt a gift because someone has scribbled heavily over the scanning bar on the box and stuck a huge sticker on it. Small detail but when you are paying these sort of prices you expect quality throughout.

This is a repeat purchase for me as I love skinfood. It is a citrus scented (essential oils) heavy and somewhat greasy cream. I use it on dry skin and always carry a small tube in my handbag. There is a light version which I’m told is less greasy but as I don’t really use it on my face it’s not relevant. It has a cult following and is a favourite of makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes. I keep it on my watch list as the price fluctuates and buy in bulk when it’s on offer.

This is the best lotion for dry/ chapped skin.

Love this product. Can be a little thick and shiny but works well in my desert environment. Never rolls with makeup or other products and is actually good for your skin! The price is also excellent for the quality.
