Ideal for draughty windows
If you have draughty windows and can't afford double glazing then this is the next best thing! It's cheap, easy to apply and very effective. I have old wooden framed bay windows with inefficient double glazed sealed units. When I opened the curtains in the morning I could feel the cold air rushing towards me and throughout the day there was always a cold area on that side of the room. I'd never heard of this 'secondary glazing' until I searched the internet for draught excluders! It took 5 minutes to read the instructions and about an hour to do a large bay window (of course if I had to do it again it would take only half that time). Although it's not as effective as good quality double glazing, you can't open the windows without removing it and there is a slight hue when you look through the window, it is certainly a vast improvement and I'm confident that my heating is working more efficiently as that cold area is now much warmer. For the depths of winter when you don't need to have your windows open I'd highly recommend it!

So far ok - use different tape
The double glazed window is slightly bent in the frame so until I get it fixed I needed to stop the draught as I sit next to it all day working. The film was simple enough to put up alone and a quick once over with the hairdryer made it tighten well. It's super easy to trim but I've left a little extra at the edges in case I need to make any adjustments in the coming days. The double sided tape seemed a little flimsy but it does the job so fingers crossed it continues to do so. First impression is that I'm pretty impressed with the film as looking through the window you can't tell it is there. There are a few fold marks if you look up close, they look like fine lines in the film but they are not noticeable unless you're up close and really searching for them. The film is 13ft long by 5ft wide so I've got loads left. I'll report back after it's been up a while. At this point I totally recommend it. EDIT: 4th Nov, 3 days after I put it up the double sided tape has come away at the side and bottom of the window. No condensation to cause it and the frames had been cleaned with sugar soap prior to sticking it on. It just wasn't strong enough to hold taut film. Replacing it with alternative tape now as the film isn't damaged. I'd recommend using better tape from the outset to save having to do it twice.

Can really see/ feel the difference with this film
I was a little unsure as to how effective this film would be with regard to being an effective form of glazing, however I am really surprised with the results. I used the film over 2 bathroom windows and our living room and have already noticed reduced condensation and that heat is being retained better. Providing the sticky sided tape is stuck on properly (with the help of rubbing alcohol and a hair dryer), the film sticks with ease and any creases/ wrinkles immediately disappear when heated. The only draw back I’ve had is that our kitten has taken a shine to the living room window and demolished the film after a week. I will definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a means of retaining heat and Cannot afford new windows

Poor quality film
Would have been better of buying quality clingfilm as the was thin and tore twice when unfolding it from packing. However tape was very good quality.

Does not stick
The film came away from the tape within days of (very carefully) sticking it down. Completely useless. The product looks like it comes from the 60s and I honestly think the tape is dried out and that is why it has not worked. Such a waste of money and time trying to install this properly. Don't bother, honestly.

COSY WINTER
I put this on my double glazed windows three months ago and I am very, very pleased with the result. It was easy to use and I quickly achieved a good look. There has been a big improvement in the chill factor. Our front hall has a half glazed door which has made this area like a fridge. Now it is a reasonable temperature. I would encourage anyone thinking about this product to give it a go. I am looking forward to my fuel bill this year as I know it will be significantly less. It is now May and I have just received a cheque from EON for £468 overpayment!! I have never ever had a refund before so I am very pleased. I know we had a milder winter but I do think this product should take 70% credit for this result.

The initial use of this was good and worked quite well
The initial use of this was good and worked quite well. However over a month or so, it started creating humidity in between the window and the plastic film, which meant that ultimately we had to remove it. Also they should think of a work around for the nob that you use to lock the window closed, maybe a couple of smaller plastic squares with sticky tape on them.
