Dose it work with a case on the controller

Hi, no I don't think it would, there isn't a case on my item but, you know the battery cover on the back that holds the battery in? You take the original off and place their battery inside which has its own attached cover with charging pins that make a connection on the charger, if this part is not covered by a case it would be ok, otherwise the pins wouldn't be able to lean on the charger to work. Hope this helps. (basically no case at all can go where the battery and cover sits!)

Is it just the docking station that arrived no controlles?

No controllers. It says that in the description. Just chargers
