Are these suitable for a prem baby

I think they actually use these in hospitals for perm babies as the teat is smaller than other dummies.

Do they come with a protective cap?

Hi, no they do not come with a protective cap but I just put them in the avent bpa free plastic cups (see through with the blue caps normally used for storing breast milk and food purees, etc once starting weaning..And they are easy to sterilise too) and it's been perfect! My daughter will only use these dummies now and will as a result get the next size up of exactly the same model... Since it is only available on amazon will buy them on the website... Best dummies ever especially coming from an anti-dummy person but found them to be the best when I looked around as I needed something to soothe her instead of constantly using my breast as a comfort as much as food! Lol They actually give them for free in all the US hospital as they are the best for newborn babies.. :) hopefully your baby will like them as much as my daughter does... Regards

The product came in avent packaging but the dummy does not have Phillips or avent written anywhere. They say childmed.com. Are these fake?

I wrote to Philips directly to ask them after having the same concerns and they confirmed that they're genuine: "...thanks a lot for sending your invoice.
