These seem to be well made. Grip well onto my knife. Just make sure your knife is long enough for the 2 slicers and the width of whatever you are cutting. I found them very useful for slicing my cakes into layers. About the right size so they do not slip off the knife. I found if I tried to slice faster they slipped slightly, so go slowly and they work well

After receiving a bread making machine for Xmas, I've been making a loaf once or twice a week. However, I've been making a right mess of slicing them freehand! I thought I'd try these and I've been delighted with the results. I clip them onto my long bread knife at either end of the blade and it's really easy to get a dozen really good, even slices from a 750g loaf recipe (using the second notch up). They're also great for taking the dome top off a Victoria sponge cake on the higher notch setting. I can't comment on longevity but so far I'm delighted with them. A great kitchen gadget and in a handy little storage box. Highly recommended!

Superb idea in thought but one is not heavy enough to keep far end of knife flat when cutting a 10" cake

These are a great idea. If they worked. I used them on quite a big knife but every time the clamp touched the cake they came off. You need a really long knife to be effective. You need a blade about 3” (80 ml) bigger than the cake you’re cutting to allow for the sawing motion. They were easy to use but I doubt I’ll bother again. Unless I can buy a serrated blade long enough for all cake sizes.

I was sceptical, but for the price I decided to give it a go. I had used cake slicers before, with not much success. I made a wedding cake with various size sponges (6,8 and 10 inch). I need them sliced perfectly. I was very pleasantly surprised how easy it was, and it worked brilliantly. Every cake sliced very neatly exactly where I wanted it, and I’m a straight line. Very pleased with this product, and I highly recommend.

Clear instructions were very helpful. They sat nicely on the knife and helped keep levels on slices. One drawback, sometimes they twist and almost come off. Would definitely recommend they be bought for slicing items horizontally.

Worked really well for the first 3 uses but on the 4th use the plastic in one of the clips snapped making it unusable. I tried to use the one that I had left on it’s own to get a rough guide on height and exactly the same thing happened 😣

Love love love these. I bought with the large serrated blade and I wish I had bought these earlier.

These are fantastic! I make these sandwiches on flat rectangular loaves of Italian bread for get togethers. Each sandwich serves 6-8 people, so the loaves are good sized. I've always had trouble evenly slicing the tops from the bottoms even though I have a good, long bread knife. These clamp on "jigs" made it a breeze. So quick and all four loaves of bread the bread looked great! They will make cutting rolls for sliders much easier, too.
