The blurb on the packaging says that tiny, inexpensive device is perfect for checking sewing and quilting. They are not wrong. If you measure in imperial units for your hems then this is the device for you. My wife is an added quilter and attends Quilting classes. They are all women and talk. This device was praised by her friends and by using it. It makes a necessary check really simple and saves your hours correcting mistakes as they happen rather than at the end of a project.. As with all the best ideas this is a really simple tool that WORKS. Cheap cheerful and Effective. The device arrived swiftly and that is about it! Thanks for reading Post Script. Months down the line and my wife uses this a few times a week. It really has been a superb buy. The device is so useful and time saving.

Perfect to set my 1/4 inch seams!

This is so thin, I thought it would me like the prym metric version, but no its not great or good value for money. it is double sided. Would I buy it again;- no

On one hand this is just a thin piece of plastic cut to the most common 1/8th inch increments. On the other hand, it is very useful for marking or checking seam allowances, hems etc, without having to adjust anything or handle a larger ruler. Only minor downside is there are a lot of measurements and you can get muddled on which part to use - maybe some colour in the markings or something could be helpful.

I have several sewing machines. I keep these by each machine station, they are very handy to check all sorts of measurements.

This item is well made and perfect for ensuring that the seam allowances in items I sew are exactly right!
