SureFlap cat flap mounting adapter, white, 1 piece (pack of 1)

Initially I was hesitant abut spending so much money on a cat flap, and I was also concerned about whether my 11-year old cat's microchip could be read. However, the product works perfectly, does exactly what it says it does, and was incredibly easy to set up. Unfortunately the back door was lined with metal but I fitted the mounting adaptor and haven't had a single problem. The cat, who has historically had a lot of problems with cat flaps (I previously had magnetic ones and he struggled to operate them properly coming in, and occasionally got stuck after collecting bits of rusty metal on his magnet), did not take to it immediately. He knew what to do but was extremely suspicious - I got the impression he found the whole thing way too easy. But after a couple of days he really got into it and now he loves his new cat flap and no longer only goes out to use the 'facilities'. For the first time in about 3 years he's actually spending more time outside than in during the day. If you're torn between this cat flap and a magnetic one, let me help you out: had I known how fantastic this flap was, I'd have bought it years ago. I'll never buy magnetic again.

This product is excellent. For years I have been inadvertently feeding every cat in the area. They used the old cat flap at will. I bought this item to prevent that. I had to also buy the converter plate (my old cat flap was round) but both items arrived together in good time and were easy to fit with just 2 bolts. setting the system up for my cat could not have bee easier. My cat is not very bright, and took 2 days to get used to the new flap, but now uses it without a problem. The good thing is that only she can use it. More importantly, she has put on some weight. She was always underweight, but now I realise that other cats were eating her food for her, and she was not getting her fair share. I would highly recommend this product.

Great product, excellent customer service from manufacture. We’ve had the flap for over a year, it has been brilliant, we needed to refit it to the new French doors, so we needed this extra surround, easy to fit, full instruction with it. We’ve had some building work done and the flap was moved from the old wooden door into the new French doors. In this process, we managed to lose the screws!! Customer service at SureFlap were fantastic. I went to their website, left a message with all the flap’s and my details, within 3 working days the new screws were delivered to my door (free of charge). Other companies take note, this is customer service, this is how to look after your customers. One very happy customer!!

Really efficient. My pet can come and go whenever she feels like it. Ot took about 4 weeks until she was comfortable with it but it's all go now. Great product !!

I had to buy the mounting adaptor as the sureflap cat flap was to be put in the patio windows. It works well. It took alittle persuading for the cat to use it but it is working great now. No longer is the patio doors being left open for him to go out and come back in. So overall I would definitely recommend this product for use in patio doors. I bought the micro chip version. It was very well explained and it was very easy to set up the micro chip after bribing him to put his head through the flap to activate the micro chip. I just wish I had bought this product this months ago. It is worth every penny and is so easy to use.

Totally amazing. I had a cat flap which required my cats to wear collars and magnets and unfortunately we discovered another cat in the area wearing the same magnet! This has caused my cats so much distress and the smell in my kitchen was totally unbearable. I then discovered this amazing cat flap - powered by batteries and linked to the chips in the cats necks. Very easy to use, before fitting the cat flat you place the cat flap over your cat's head and link the chip. The cat flap was exactly the same size as the old one so all the screw holes were the same - fitted and in working order within ten minutes. And now, the other cat just sits and howls outside the back door cos he just can't work out why he can't come in anymore - fantastic!

Good quality product, although it is a little expensive considering it’s just a couple of pieces of plastic. The installation was quick and easy with the adaptor holding the cat flap securely in the glass panel. When I received it I was worried that the size of the adaptor would mean the cat flap was positioned too high up in the window for our cat but as it turned out the height difference is fine and the cat can get in and out without difficulty. So in summary, this is perhaps a little expensive considering what you get in the package, but you won’t be able to fit a sureflap cat flap into a glass door without it.

Just wanted to reassure those who need to buy this because they are installing on a metal door that this adapter plate worked for me. I tried the SureFlap door on it’s own after it fit in the old cat door flap I had cut, but the microchip reader would not work with the metal so close. I had to use a jigsaw to cut the existing hole a bit higher (the adapter plates are quite large and the bottom part was longer than the door frame), but once I readjusted, the chip reader worked perfectly. My cats were rescues and both have older chips that vary in digit length; this cat door worked well for both of them. The metal door I have is hollow and have consists of thin metal on each side, with spray foam filler on the inside.

Surement la meilleure chatière du marché que j'utilise depuis plusieurs années dans tous mes appartements. Elle reconnaît la puce de votre chat, et empêche les autres chats de passer (ma voisine a installé la même, les chats y sont habitués). Possible de programmer les heures d'entrée et de sortie du chat si vous ne souhaitez pas qu'il sorte la nuit. Si installée sur une fenêtre double vitrage, il faudra changer la fenêtre et en commander une sur mesure
