Trust Frontline - Every Other Brand just doesn't do the trick
I purchase frontline products for my two cats. The spot on treatment is super easy to use and really does get rid of any fleas. We had a real problem when we got them as they had fleas at 8 weeks old and didn't know for a few weeks. We had never had cats in a house before so didn't realize that the eggs would be in carpets. The summertime was a nightmare, but the frontline always killed the fleas on them. We used other brands but they really didn't get rid of fleas and they just seemed to get worse. We spoke to the vets and went in detail about the issues we were having and they recommended either getting rid of all of the carpets in our house (which was easy for us as we only have hardwood and tiled floors) and for us additionally (or alternatively if you dont want to rip up your carpets) to get a spray that you use when it is warm, vacuum your floors (flea eggs hatch when there is heat and vibration) and then spray this solution around your house (ours we got from the vet - called Virbac indorex spray). We got rid of all of our rugs and sprayed and this year we are not having problems (but our cats are indoor cats only and never go outside of our home). When we did have issues with fleas the frontline would kill the fleas within a day (we would have little dead fleas on our tables - thats the only gross thing about this product, but is as a result of having cats!! I'd recommend frontline to anyone with cats or dogs. Great quality product. This is great value for money. As for how it is with ticks and lice I cannot comment as they do not go outside and have never had either.

It works great, but it takes time
Quite a few reviews say Frontline does not work. It does. Fleas can pretty much lay their eggs and larvae in your carpets, rugs, and soft furnishings of which, they can sit dormant for MONTHS. Frontline on its own works for a short time... but what about the fleas in the carpet? You need to treat that too. Even if you vacuum the carpets, that won't get rid of all the eggs and larvae. It is a start but then you need to think about your bed! Yes, they can lay dormant in your bed without you even knowing it... for now.If you have a cat with fleas, you need to treat the cat with Frontline, but then you have to treat your house too. You need to get a flea treatment for the house which contains Insect Growth Regulator. These are often in a spray format. But the entire process will not be a quick one. It can take months. You need to vacuum frequently, and over time things will improve. I always use a steam cleaner on my mattress and go over my floors with it too every 4-6 months. If you have indoor cats, the treatment of Frontline and house treatment of an IGR spray, with a deep clean will help and control the infestation. If however it is out of control, then you should call in the professionals who can use industrial equipment. Also, you should get your cat checked with the vet regularly too for precautions.Frontline works really well and I now use Frontline for precautionary reasons and have not seen a single flea in a very long time. Time is key though as this does not work overnight. It will on the cats and they will be pleased but your house will take time. Fail to attack the house properly, and the problem will come back.

Works but not as well as Frontline plus.
Works but not as well as Frontline plus. Not comfortable with the applicator though. Its a bit stubby and a bit of a hit n miss affair. Cat moves it'll go all over the place. I would prefer a nozzel that can really get down the fur and make direct contact with the skin. Does work though if you get it right.

Made my cats sick, it doesn't work if your cat has fleas.
I have seen few fleas on my indoor cats and purchased this based on good reviews. I washed my cats with flea and tick shampoo and treated them with front line spot on treatment, following directions to the fullest. Not only that it didn't kill fleas but my cats, all 3 of them got sick and started vomiting and being lethargic. This is a big concern. Waste of money. Medical expenses at the vet were a lot as this caused anemia to my cats and vet explained this product is outdated and can cause sickness. Please be careful. Every cat in their life span will get fleas once or more. Don't waste money on this as it doesn't work. If it did work for you, I am happy however I am very disappointed 😞 poor babies, cats, I wouldn't bother writing this if I didn't care for those who are considering this product. I jist don't wish the same to happen to others. I learnt my lesson and will never buy this again. I guess we get that we pay for. Disappointed to the fullest

Not Enough for Flea Infestations
I gave my cat FRONTLINE Spot On as a preventative treatment since he’s an outdoor cat who roams fields and can pick up fleas. However, he still picked up fleas. We had to resort to prescription-strength tablets to fully solve the issue, but we’ve since gone back to using what was left of the FRONTLINE Spot On as a preventative, and he hasn’t had any more flea issues.I do appreciate that it’s quick and easy to apply, and my cat has gotten used to the process with no fuss. He hasn’t had any reactions to it, which is great. If fleas become a recurring issue, this product might not be enough, and I’d need to consider stronger treatments.
