Should i get this or the edc organizer for tossing in my backpack as a core edc kit? i'm leaning towards the fatty for the extra size.

It will depend on your EDC items. I find my EDC Organizer better with small diameter or thin/flat items, and I have it set up as a 'boo-boo' kit. My Fatty Organizers are more all-around useful and I have a few in my emergency bag, color coded, each with a different focus (e.g. fire, survival, repair). HTH

What size patch can you attach to it?

Holding the item in my hand as I write this, I would say you would have a tough time attaching ANY patch, front or back. The front has Velcro and a webbing pouch, the rear has molly type strapping. Even a small patch would not fit my friend.

How many rows of MOLLE loop/strapping is on the back?

3. Need strap attachments. does not come with them.

What size are the loops on the back?

I can put my benchmade EDC tactical tanto serraded knife in them. There are 2 sections with 4 loops on each side. I use the pack for the inside, i don't need or use the loops.
