Doro 6030 Unlocked Clamshell Big Button Mobile Phone for Seniors with 2.4" Screen, Emergency Button and Widely Separated High Contrast Keys (Graphite/White)

This is a wonderful phone. I bought it because when my Wife and I are out shopping or just out together, sometimes we get separated, and need to get in touch.I am not very good with mobile phones, and cant always make a call on my old phone or even work out how to answer a call. This problem is only with mobile phones. I am 82 and have built my own desktop from just a case, and it is working fine.It is just that with mobile phones I have a Blank Spot. "Not Any more" This Doro 6030 Has solved all my problems it is so easy to use, I just open it up and it shows me what to do. I cant go wrong,It is a a basic phone. No frills. If you have problems with mobile phones this is the one for you. Many Thanks Doro, you have changed my life. Joe.

I’m very pleased with my new Doro 6030. Compact, so it’s easy to carry in a pocket. The display is easy to read and the buttons are a decent size. No problem getting started with it – straightforward to operate. Does just what I need: phoning and texting + the camera is adequate. Battery charges quickly. Robustly made. It’s reasonably priced. Not an ‘all singing, all dancing’ smart phone, but I did not want/need such a thing. Perfect!

I just cannot deal with al the extraordinary variants on a smartphone or A phone (whatever) and this nice little phone serves me well. It is so easy to use and one can phone or text quickly, the camera is certainly not the best but will give you a picture if you want to catch something unusual. I didn't buy it for that. I love the clamshell type body and the fact that one can shut the lid and it will not function again until it is open (apart from receiving texts and other messages ). The battery life is reasonable but one has to watch carefully to see when it needs charging - another good thing is that when charging and it is finished, it will give a signal and stop continuance.

Phone arrived within two days of ordering. Superfast delivery. Setting up the phone was easy enough though factory settings had all calls initially going directly to my voicemail which took a bit of figuring out, which could not be done using the enclosed instruction leaflet. Fortunately, Amazon included a more detailed instruction book in PDF format with their order confirmation e-mail. Being a clamshell phone is very handy as the screen is protected from scratches when the phone is in my pocket, a problem that incurred with a previous phone. However, I would not recommend setting up the ICE function as I reckon it will result in many false alarms, with the ICE button being on the back of the phone, it is all too easy to press it by accident with general handling of the phone or even when it is in my pocket. All in all, it does what I expect of a phone. I can call and receive calls, send and receive text messages, and is always handy to see what time it is on those occasions that I forget to wear my wrist watch (very often).

My parents love this phone, and therefore so do I as it means less support needed from me! Great, large buttons, an easy-to-read display, loud speaker, and simple UI mean it's perfect for them. The clamshell design means it's small in their pocket/bag and offers a more confident 'yes, it's off' when it's closed. Battery life is great, too.

Received phone day after ordering. As I only wanted a phone for emergencies and I'm not important enough to in contact with the world 24/7! This is perfect. I only need text and calls and a camera is lovely. As soon as it arrived I popped to the EE shop and got a micro sim which the lady even put it in for me. Its the perfect size for pockets when out walking dog and so easy to use. As it flip open, the screen is protected and no chance of accidently making calls while its in your pocket. It has Bluetooth which I believe makes it able to internet if you want. Really delighted and would highly recommend

I bought this phone to replace one which was on its last legs. This is a superb phone for the older person who just wishes to make calls and send texts. Easy to use and the sound is very good. I needed to get a micro SIM because my old SIM would not fit. I am with Vodafone, and after contacting them they sent me a replacement SIM so I can keep my old number. Would recommend this to anyone.

bought to replace another Doro phone which I somehow managed to crack the screen when I dropped it!! This seems to be a later version? I am NOT a techie or particularly phone savvy hence why I stuck to tried and tested. I like the clamshell design screen is nice and clear buttons easy to use- basically I am of the generation I want to have a phone to make and receive calls ( tick) send the odd text ( tick) fits in my pocket with no fear of accidently making a call or having to have a "sign in" to operate it (tick) Just taking a while to get used to new layout/set up....
