STANLEY STA033719 FATMAX Classic Tape with Blade Armor, 5m/16ft

I always thought a tape measure was a tape measure until I started using a Stanley. They are just clearer to read and way more sturdy for heavy use. Compare the pics of two 5m tape measures.The Stanley is just built to work and be read clearly at a glance.

Good tool, it stays erected when deployed, doesn’t flop like similar models, there’s a girth to the tool easy to use and to get you hand around it. Very satisfied and would recommend to a friend.

This tape measure is quite large, plenty of length available and the extra width of the tape ensures that it is sturdy enough to not collapse under its own weight making measuring tasks easier to perform by yourself.The only downsides are that it’s bulkier than a standard measure making it heavier and slightly harder to handle and store in a pocket etc. Overall these don’t make much of a difference in normal use, making this a 5/5.

The only tape measure strong and reliable enough for my tool box. Best on the market, smooth and compact, the tip isn't so heavy that you fail to extend the tape from a pair of steps but it's enough to grip most edges. Never had a split or spring problem. Very good product, let's hope they never change it.Update:After somebody decided they would rather have my beloved tape measure, I had to buy another one. I'm not sure if they've changed the printing process but the markings are dull, they don't "pop" like my other one. Still superb build quality but loses a star for the faded print this time around.

Been in the trade 27 years and these are the best tapes me and the boys on site have found. Built really well , strong and last ages .Can't recommend enough

It’s just so sturdy in your hands. Yes, it’s expensive but think this’ll last a long time. Doesn’t bend or go weak after 30cm, locks well. Lovely bit of kit.10/10 would recommend.
