Bought them for work as old one gave up the ghost. They are handy things much better way of removing staples rather than ruining your nails. They are strong and do the job

You might guess that I'm not someone needing to staple or unstaple a lot, if I tell you that for years I have made do with the little prongs of corn on the cob forks, curved nail scissors, tiny computer/tech stuff screwdrivers and the like to meet my 'must unstaple this now' needs. Cursing, invariably stabbing myself, tearing the paper and all the rest, and idly thinking that there must be some sort of device specifically for unstapling and I really should get one. Before promptly forgetting till next time the need to wield and damage the prongs of corn on the cob holders. BUT now I too have a home which qualifies to be called a home with the addition of the 5 star staple remover black. It does the deed. Perfectly Alas, though, unlike those earlier tools with another function which COULD be tortuously used to prise staples from their homes, I think I shall not be able to press this little tool into use at the dinner table with corn cobs, nor for any techy dismantles I may feel impelled to engage in, nor even for the finer pursuits of manicuring. I think this magnificent 5 star staple remover black, despite its fitness for purpose, is a one trick pony.

Exactly as currently shown in the above stock images, this is my favourite staple remover to date and I have just bought another, as it is currently part of Amazon’s ‘Add-On Programme’. It is a random colour selection from BLACK or BLUE, at the time of writing, and I am happy with the bright shade of the latter. The staple remover arrives locked in the box and measures around 5 cm x 2.5 cm (max) x 2.5 cm. (max). The pointy jaws open by moving the little BLUE button (on mine) from ‘LOCK’ to ‘UNLOCK’, increasing the overall height to around 3.5 cm. Slightly less tight on the spring, I find this brand more forgiving especially for the occasional need to remove a staple from more delicate paper. Most of the time I use it to remove staples from various sized documents before they hit the shredder.

Great little staple remover. And locks into place when not in use. Would absolutely recommend

Does exactly what it’s meant for

Does what it was made for. Hard to believe in this day and age I had to order one of these online but that's more a statement on how poor Northern Ireland (and the Belfast area specifically) is for selling basic products. Thank heavens for online shops. So I gave it a road test yesterday and boy does it work, you could hear the firmly entrenched squealing as they were ripped from their positions and had their metallic life force drained from them. Bravo to the staple remover and Bravo to amazon and its sellers. Booooo!!!! to wasting several hours in a city (Really? I have broken wind and created bigger villages than Belfast), trying to find something so common and simple, yet so incredibly unavailable in this Capital(sic).

Easy to remove staples unless they are near the corner or pipes. Sometimes it gets jammed and you need to be careful to wiggle the staple out because if you prize it open it may break so it won't stay open. Would be still useable it would be a slower process.
