At £55 for a genuine Makita 5Ah battery you'd be crazy not to purchase these, especially as they retail for over £100 at some of the highstreet stores, so you can buy two of these for almost the same price as one elswhere...BARGAIN!If you want the best out of your Makita pro tools then they you really need the best battery for the job. These batteries are well built and can easily take the pounding that day to day use on site can throw at them. They really are built to last. The run time really depends on the tool they are attached to and the job that you are doing, but they outshine the cheaper batteries like a star going super nova. Yes, some of the third party batteries cost half the price, but they also come with some hidden dangers. Very few of the cheap batteries are equipped with load balancing, which im sure is a legal rquirement in the uk, but I could be wrong on that. But without load balancing a battery runs a high risk of catching fire during the charging process. They also run the risk of damaging the tool they are attached to, and when you are spending hundreds on a tool, do you really want to run the risk of wrecking it for the sake of the price of a cheap battery? You wouldn't but an Audi R8 and put budget tyres on it, would you?Do yourself and your tools a favour and put these beauties on the end of them.
