Quilling: Techniques and Inspiration: Re-issue (Search Press Classics)

I purchased this book to refresh my memory with regards to quilling techniques as it has been 40 since I completed this craft. The book helped immensely and it is a good reference book to keep. It is well written and the images are sharp and easy to follow in respect of directions. I soon picked it up again so have only looked at the book once or twice but will be keeping it in my craft area just in case. I would highly recommend.

I agree with the reviewers who are saying that if you only buy one, THIS is the one to buy. The author is clearly a very generous woman who's truly interested in teaching rather than someone who just wishes to show off her own work. Lots and lots of clear, helpful photographs, and a very friendly, thorough, instructive text. I was also struck by the great variety of techniques and examples of variations she shows -- all really useful for those of us who aren't so interested in projects to copy, but instead in learning techniques in order to design our own stuff. Also, there's very minimal, modest mention of the fact that Ms. Jenkins runs a business selling quilling materials. I really like that she has not made this book simply an advertising tool for her business. Well done! I cannot imagine anyone interested in quilling being sorry they purchased this book -- so do!

It's is a lovely book with many ideas for very beautiful projects. There are other books available which are more aimed at beginners. This is probably for you if you are a little more experienced with the basics. There are some ASIC instructions but these are soon left and quickly passed on for some more involved and larger pieces. It is a very worthwhile book to have if you are considering spending a lot of time to create some very detailed, large pieces. If you are just dabbling and wanting to make small, quick cards I would suggest other books available on amazon such as Judy Cardinal.

This book is full of inspiration, easy to understand and follow the instructions. Flowers look great when quilled, your friends and family will be impressed because even if your project doesn't match exactly no one will ever get the same present. Enjoy a new or established craft. My new go to for gifts.

New to quilling I had purchased other books but found them too intimidating needing to measure, use pins and graphs. This book is superb as the designs are brilliant and the instructions easy to follow, even the ones using pins etc. The attitude towards quilling in this book is both professional and fun. I couldn't wait to get started. All recipients of cards I've made adapting ideas from this book have been thrilled to receive them. Can't wait to get started on the next project.

The book looks lovely but I have just started quilling and this is scaring me a bit! Lots of reviews say it’s good for beginners, all I can say is they must be much better than me. I would advise getting pretty good before tackling this, there are better/ less scary books for beginners - although I look forward to having a go when I am more proficient as the designs are beautiful.

Ideal for a complete novice . Explains how to start, what you need and easy instructions. A complete novice but I definitely was impressed with the instructions. Can’t wait to start

A colourful book to help learn about paper filigree - Quilling.

Jane Jenkins has produced a very well organized and detailed book on quilling. She shares far more quilling possibilities than any other book I’ve bought. Many of the projects she presents are advanced but doable even for a beginner. A real keeper for any serious quilters.
