ZoomFP-02M Expression Pedal, Designed to be Used with All Zoom Multi-effects Processors Including the G3n, G3Xn, G5n, B3n, and More

Have always wanted a wah type pedal and decided to pair this one with the B3N. This was a good decision on my part. Don't usually use wah on bass, but, it works well adjusting various parameters of select effects, and is a lot of fun to play with. Currently use the B3N and this exp pdl as my entire pedal chain. As mentioned by other reviewers, it is a goofy color, but, I could care less. It seems durably built and currently functions well. Time will tell. Update with pics and possible video clip coming soon. Yes, I highly recommend.

Wow. I've had a zoom g3 for four years now and never thought to buy an expression pedal. If you press "Total" and the middle page button you get the pedal menu. You can set pretty much whatever you want for the expression pedal to sweep (distortion, volume, level, delay, etc.). The pedal is well constructed and I'm confident I could throw it and it wouldn't break.There's only one criticism I have and this could be G3 specific, so I won't deduct a star: When you have your pedal set to autoassign, suppose you have a wah and whammy pedal. You may expect if you turn on the wah, then the expression pedal becomes the wah and if you turn it off and turn on the whammy instead, the expression pedal becomes the whammy. Ok, all good but...Suppose both pedals are off now. It would have been nice if the expression pedal now acted as a volume pedal, but it doesn't (again this is for the autoassign mode!).

Works as described. Paired nicely with Bn3 Zoom bass pedal.

I'm used to my Dunlop CryBaby Bass Wah, so that's my basis for comparison. It's metal, heavy, sturdy, big, spring-loaded, and has an automatic engage switch built into the heel (so as soon as you start using the pedal, it engages, and as soon as you release the pedal it automatically springs back to rest position and disengages). Super easy.By comparison, this Zoom pedal is equally well-built, not as heavy, not as big, not spring-loaded, and contains no built-in engage/disengage switch.I have big feet (men's USA size 13), and this pedal is a bit too short to be comfortable. My toe hangs off the front edge and sommetimes knocks into the cable that plug into that end of the unit, which makes me worry a bit about putting repeated mechanical stress on that jack/plug. Zoom really should revise this product to be about 2 inches longer.The lack of spring-loading makes sense, I guess, if you plan to use this as a "set-it-and-forget-it" type controller (for example, to set volume). But for something like wah, that makes zero sense. The ideal multi-function design would be for the patch settings to control whether the pedal should be spring-loaded or not, and for some kind of electro-mechanical widget inside the pedal to toggle the physical behavior of the pedal as needed for the given patch.Secondly, the lack of a built-in engage/disengage switch is totally unforgiveable. To use this as a wah or to control any other effect, you have to first engage that effect using a separate switch on the Zoom multi-effect unit itself, then use the pedal, and then remember to hit that separate switch again when you're done. At the very least, Zoom should issue a firmware update for it multi-effect units that allows the user to define a "minimum threshold value" that the pedal must exceed to cause the effect to engage, and that disengages the effect when the pedal rocks back under that threshold. That would allow them to fix a major usability problem without having to revise the hardware at all.

Great pedal for a great Zoom G11. Nevertheless it is not easy to set up and there is not a handbook to support, no many help on videos on social media. I had to manage a lot.

I have a Zoom 2100 effects processor. It has an expression pedal input and I was looking for an easy way to control the volume without bending over. This Zoom FP02M pedal works perfectly with my Zoom 2100. It controls the WAH effects and if a WAH effect is not in use it will control the volume up or down.The pedal assembly is plastic but it is well made and I believe it will hold up to years of use. The foot platform is anti-slip rubber and there's rubber feet on the bottom to prevent the entire assembly from slipping. The pedal is smooth and works great with the WAH effects and volume control.Note: You must use the included patch cable. Your mono patch cables will not work. It may work with stereo patch cables but I did not have one to test with.Pros:* Controls WAH effects.* Controls Volume.* Smooth movement* Small footprint.* Does not require a power supply or batteries. (Phantom Power).Cons:* Wish it came in black.

This product is built well and seems sturdy but will not work with the boss katana line of amplifiers.

I like the size and the cable it came with. It feels durable. I’m using it with my XSONIC XTONE PRO interface to control my guitar FX apps on my iPad Pro. XSONIC recommends this pedal. I’m learning how to use MIDI control on my apps and this device works perfectly.
