Cosmic Shimmer Glue

Really good craft glue, dries clear, easy to use great for sticking embellishments to cards, paper crafts etc., will stick some fabrics for crafts..... Just really useful dries fairly quickly if you are doing demos ... Start off using small quantity and add extra if needed ..... Only small quantity needed for cards....

This is my go-to glue for all my paper crafting because it is, IMHO, the perfect consistency and utterly reliable. I have never needed to clear the nozzle (I do always cover the tip), the bottle is made from a strong but flexible plastic so very easy to control application. The 125ml bottles are easy to handle but have lots of glue so you are not constantly running out. The nozzle allows for a fine, thin flow - or little dots of glue - or a heftier helping, all easily controlled by the amount of squeeze you give the bottle. This makes it possible to apply glue to items like intricate die-cuts, where only a tiny application is needed. On the other hand large areas of paper can be adhered with a run of glue round the edge and the remaining area covered in thin runs at random. Once dry, the result is flat, perfectly stuck paper. The glue also dries clear so it works well applying small embellishments to paper projects. It becomes tacky almost immediately but allows for 'wriggle-room' time. Once in place the glue has a good grip for all lightweight products. I would use a different adhesive for heavier items or very absorbent materials (some ribbons, for example), when something like silicone glue suits the job better. I would think you could spread it as a bookbinder glue, but I haven't tried it (I use Pinflair's bookbinding glue). Any glue on the hand just rubs off. Great stuff!

Cosmic Shimmer Glue Large (125ml) This glue was recommended by the crafting group leader at my local library. It costs more than the usual PVA glue I've bought in the past but is infinitely better because it does not distort the paper or card when it dries. It dries really quickly which means you can gule one seam, hold it for a few seconds till it dries, them move right on to the next. It also dries clear. Full marks. The one problem is cutting the dispensing nozzle to the right length. When I first cut the dispensing nozzle, it was probably the right length but no glue came out, so I cut it shorter. This proved to be a mistake because, since I had cut it further down, the nozzle is too wide for the cap to fit on. Now I have to store the glue with a wide needle in the end so it doesn't gum up. What I should have done when no glue came out the first time was to stick a needle in there to see if that helped get the glue out (instead of cutting the nozzle shorter). For sale at the time of writing this review at £8.43.

I've been using this glue for at least 10yrs or more, it not only sticks cardstock down without any mess, it sticks the majority of things, glass, pottery leather, all sorts and it lasts a very long time as you only need a very small amount, it also dries clear should you've used more than you planned! I've tried many brands during my years of card making and this is the ONLY brand I'll ever use.

I use this glue for making greeting cards and Christmas decorations. I have tested several different types and makes of glue and found that this one is best when using dispensing bottles with fine nozzles. It does not clog as much as the others I have tried. When sticking delicate pieces of art I have found it best to use a fine nozzle dispenser, then blot the piece with kitchen paper to remove any excess glue. The piece will then stick firmly. This product is expensive but lasts a long time the way I use it.
