Great as substrate for rats but not great as bedding.
I've seen this described as "dusty". I must strongly disagree. One of my rats loves to shovel Megazorb around, often pushing it out of their adapted rabbit hutch (with very low side walls). It seems to stay completely dry and odour free, being easily cleaned up. The clumps are too small to sensibly pick up by hand, but are comfortably consumed by the vacuum cleaner. I will re-adapt their home to keep more inside, rather than stop using this super absorbant stuff. So... yes your critters could make a mess, but "dusty"? No, it is absolutely NOT dusty! Smelly? I've seen it described as this too. For us, it has a clean, not unpleasant smell, almost imperceptable unless you sniff directly - and why would you do that? More importantly, it keeps away their smells completely, between changes. We happily keep the little fellas in our lounge and choose to fully clean them out every fortnight. That's probably OTT and I think maybe this stuff could be good enough for several months at a time, with selective "poo-picking". For comparison, oddly perhaps, I'm sensitive about visiting dog-owners homes becasue to me, canines are too smelly to be kept inside, yet I've had no problems with how this stuff works in my home. As for the little guys, they absolutely love to be bathed, so they're done frequently and we are all happy. Critisism? Yes, my rats will not use this as "bedding", which actually is what it's described as. I'm now experimenting with Fitch for this, which appears to be more suitable. As a substrate alone however, I find this product really clean and truey excellent.

Adore this product!!
So I read some good reviews about this product and thought I'd try it for my rabbits as I was worried about using wood chips etc because its meant to be bad for them. I will not go back. They have had a clear preference over this product to the hay and shredded paper I was previously using. They prefer this so much more that because I only use it in their litter box, they have actually litter trained themselves. Which I think is quite an incredible response to a product. The megazorb has a faint smell, which I personally love, it smells fresh and natural. When its used I used to find the shredded paper smelt strong, but I honestly don't notice the actual wee smell with this product. I do change the litters everyday which may help that but its worlds apart from the other products ive used. The bag is huge and in my opinion very cheap for the quality/quantity of product you get. As I have long haired (one angora) rabbits I originally was concerned it would get intertwined in their fur due to it being small so used a layer of hay on top. Ive found I dont need to do this because it just falls off. The clumping effect of the litter is great if you want to fuss about and save certain parts for efficiency, personally im not so into that i just use what they need. Ive strongly considered trying to use this for my cats too cause im sure it would work out cheaper than what im currently using, but I havent bothered yet. Overall I will def be purchasing again and would recommend to others based on my experiance. Plus for less than £15 for a 85l bag it's worth a shot. Super quick delivery from the suppliers. [EDIT- brought a second bag, which arrived 3 days early yippe, and the smell was very different (it wasn't great- its still far better than the smell of animal dirt, but the first bag smelt lovely) I also had a ziptie which had been cut and was in the bag. Just took it out but it's worth glancing at it before giving it to animals. I do imagine it's a rare situation. I have two rabbits and am refilling two litters every day and the bag lasts me around a month. I am still very impressed with this product and will continue to buy it]

Great for Rabbits litter tray
I use this for my bunnies litter tray, cost effective compared to other bedding and lasts me ages. Used for many years now only downside it can be a bit dusty. Only when pouring out into a container it makes the room dusty. It also does have a smell only when up close you smell it only way to describe it smells like sick, very faintly though. But it’s cheap and overall a good product and I would recommend.

The absolute best for gerbils!
Really love this bedding for my gerbils! Holds their tunnels really well and doesn't cause them any facial irritation. By far this is the best value for money I have found. Gerbil bedding can be expensive, but this is an excellent price per litre and 100% worth it to see them so happy. The fibres are so much more absorbent than tea-bag bedding that I used previously and needs to be cleaned a lot less frequently.

Great for hamsters
Excellent, my hamster loves making tunnels in this bedding and they seem to hold very well. Great value for money. I agree it does have a bit of an odour but it's not bad enough to put me off using it.

Perfect for gerbils
I bought this for my gerbils and it is perfect. It’s not dusty and it holds their tunnels without caving in. It’s also hugely cheaper than the likes of Carefresh and other paper based bedding.

Brilliant bedding, but smells awful
Really want to love this bedding - I use for my Gerbils to provide a nice comfy, deep area to dig in. It's really soft which is great as I always worry shavings are too rough and it retains the shape of the burrows without collapsing. But it really smells bad, like something is rotting and sickly sweet. If they could fix this it'd be 5 stars, no problem. I can smell it across the room which is not something any animal keeper wants. Currently looking into things I can add to reduce the smell which just isn't acceptable for a hygeine product.

Great product
For some reason it’s almost impossible to buy Megazorb over the counter where I live in Cornwall - got this one within 24 hours of ordering on Prime, really fair price too, and obvs much easier getting it delivered to home too. If you’ve not used megazorb before - it’s grey-ish paper litter, and I use it for my rabbit’s litter trays. It’s really absorbent and doesn’t smell, just turns into a sort of pulp when it’s wet but the top layer always stays dryer. Really recommend.
