I have been using a mini since I bought it a few months ago, mainly as a daily food diary. I have found that the pages I have used and erased on a daily basis (I don't need to refer back so use only one or two) are now difficult to write clearly on. The impression I get is of the pen running out, but if I use the same pen on one of the pages nearer the middle of the notebook the writing is beautifully clear. So yes, you can re-use pages and yes they wipe clean very nicely with a slightly damp cloth, but no they do not last forever. pity. **Q: Does the the image of the page go directly to one note from my phone or does it go through Rocketbook? Intellectual Property / security** A: According to rocketbook the data is transmitted and stored on their servers unencrypted. In their own words, “If you're uncomfortable with granting us access, please do not utilize these OCR features.” so no, you’re data is not safe especially if privacy is a concern **Q: Does it convert writing to text?** A: Hmmm...not sure why there are people saying that it doesn't convert writing to text. It does! The only caveat is that your handwriting need to be legible! There must be a setting in the app that does this and the OCR software then sends the text to your email. Hope this helps. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Majorly improved my note-keeping *by J***H on 10 January 2019* I very rarely write reviews on Amazon, but the Everlast has certainly left such an impression on me that I have to give it one. I bought the Everlast based on the review by Thomas Frank, as it would almost fix the issues that I have with note-keeping. Context: I am currently in sixth form and have to keep notes for class and other studies, as well as personal projects, and most of the paper notes that I have are just collecting dust, un-indexed and using space that I don't have a lot of; if I need to refer back to my notes for content already covered, it's like having to find a needle in a haystack sometimes.When I got it, I was really impressed by the build, and the quality of the "paper"; it has a glossy texture to it that is a dream to write with using the included the black Frixion pen. One nitpick was that the ink does take about 10-15 seconds to dry onto the page, which would rule this out if you are left-handed and tend to put your hand onto the page however if you can write comfortably with a gel pen or some other inky pens, you can get on with this.After trialling the writing, I set up the Rocketbook app and started to scan in the pages. I tend to be a bit of a stickler when it comes to companion apps but it is wonderful - the UI is intuitive and easy to navigate and set up the icons at the bottom of the page, and the actual scanning of the pages is quick and pain free, as well as the scans themself being clear. After that, wiping the pages down with the included cloth is really easy (given that the cloth has enough water on it) and is just as quick to dry.Overall, I was extremely impressed with the notepad, and it has become my daily driver for school. There is odd quirk here and there, such as the ink drying time and it only using Frixion pens, but I knew about those going into this. If you are a student, professional, or human, get this and it will add so many productivity points to your life. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great notebook although mine has 32 numbered pages (32 sides, 16 pages). App works well *by S***E on 18 December 2017* Very useful to use this as a backup to iPad Pro, useful when the battery is low. The frixon pen that comes with it, writes on the quality, smooth paper fluidly, like a rollerball . Great to have a good quality plastic cover that doesn't wear out of get damaged as easily as paper. Mine came with a rocket cloth to wipe off. Rubber on pen works surprisingly well. The 8 x 11 size works best for me , as I'm used to using A4 size. This will replace the huge volume of papers/notes, I have.Also like that I can put something printed on the middle of the page & it scanned too.Works with onedrive, Dropbox & other apps, easily. love that you can assign where it goes by crossing a symbol at the bottom before you scan. And there's other frixion coloured pens that work well.My 1 disappointment was mine came with 16 double sided pages (32 writable sides) rather than the 36 pages advertised. I need the extra pages as I do a lot of writingElfinbook 2.0 has more pages & is cheaper on Amazon, but the rocketbook app is slightly better & easier to work quickly (you ll need 3G or wifi) . Elfinbook has a pen loop holder on the bottom of the A5 book. This doesn't but you can hook a pen,s pocket holder on the book. Will update when I've had more use from it. Kids love it & think the rubbing out is magic. I Ve got them their own rocket colouring books ( another great idea as saves their pictures, & great learning tools, keeping the place tidy).If it had 36 pages I would've given it 5 stars. But it doesn't disappoint functionally & is already helping with my organisationElfinbook doesn't have the icons at the bottom of pages. Debatable if you actually need it there , rather than just in the app when you scan it. It has more pages though. Only had both for a few days , so will update review. At the moment I'm liking the rocketbook more, although elfinbook is a lower price. Just need to work out the different cloud links in it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Early days yet + 1year update *by H***X on 22 October 2019* Update - 20th January 2021, I have used this book constantly at work for over 1 year and it has been excellent for me. I used to carry multiple notebooks with me for the different projects I manage and have been able to replace all of them with the Rocketbook. There are regular updates to the mobile app, I scan direct to my work Google account via Android phone and personal files are scanned to my personal Google account via my IPhone.I have only had this for a couple of weeks but have used it several times already.I read many reviews before buying this due to the cost, for some reason the blue cover option was very much cheaper than the other colours and being more focussed on value for money rather than being a fashionista I purchased the cheaper, blue, one.The pen writes very well, no problems yet, there were a number of reviews where I saw people complaining about the writing disappearing when the notebook gets warm such as being left in the car during a sunny day, if you read the instructions it quite clearly warns about this but it also informs you how to get the ink to reappear - put the notebook in the fridge to cool down & hey presto, the writing comes back.
