Set of 3 Tools for All of Your Drain Unblocking Needs - Drain Blaster, Drain Cleaning Tool and Waste Pipe Unblocker

My outdoor drain was clogged from all the washing machine soap. Must have been bad cos 2 types of acid could not unclog it. Ordered these tools (only needed the silver snake), they came next day which was a must, and the little snake thing did the job perfectly. It's a very strong tool and was able to get right under and deep into the pipes. Saved hundred's of £££'s from getting someone in.All 3 tools are well built with the drain tools being very strong and sturdy. Money very well spent.

I bought this kit hoping that at least 1 of the 3 items would clear a blockage affecting our bathroom washbasin.First I tried the drain plunger. Pumping the handle up and down umpteen times made only a marginal improvement to how quickly the water drained, and the effect did not last long. The improvement was no better than I'd got using a simple plunger we already had. And I was not convinced that the cylinder was airtight at the top - as I operated the plunger with one hand, I could fell air breezing past my other hand, which was holding the main cylinder towards its top. If I was rating this item separately, I'd give it 1 star.Next I tried the drain cleaner. This has a (coiled ) length of flat steel, about 4mm wide and under 1mm thick; attached at one end is a coiled head with a maximum width of around 6mm. Inserting this a good distance, twisting it around and then withdrawing it, brought out a fair amount of hair and other stuff. This improved the water flow significantly, but did not solve the problem. And the withdrawing was fiddly - the flat steel is attached at the side of the coiled head, not in its middle, so total width is close to the 7mm width of my (standard size) bathroom plughole central hole. I'd give this item 3 stars.Finally I tried the drain auger - a long coil about 5mm wide. Inserting this and rotating it removed a substantial amount of hairs etc - and solved the problem - the water now drains quickly. I then tried this on a different washbasin, and on our bath. Good results with these also. It's a good design: the width is the same all the way along, with no extra attachments to make withdrawing it difficult, and hairs get trapped in the coil. It's not so easy to clean, but that's because it does such a good job of trapping stuff. Rating this separately I'd give it 5 stars.

It’s fine if it a small blockage a few inches away but otherwise a metal coat hanger works better! Any decent plumber would laugh at the quality of the products

I had one similar and when it broke I looked to see if I could purchase another. Was very glad to see a similar thing with the addition of wire. It is so easy to use. I haven't had a reason to use yet but ready in case.

Had a very bad blockage in bathroom sink, the first two tools I used from this package wouldn't fit round the ubend in the pipes and with the blockage being quite far down they were was basically useless for me, it did pull some hair out though. Lastly I tried the air plunger again. Again this was useless as the air was just coming from the top of it so I thought I'd try to block the air seal at the top with a small towel and it worked brilliant, really glad it saved me from getting a plumber but just make sure you are prepared to try block the escaped air. Also make sure there is a little water in the sink at the time of unblocking as this helps the pressure a lot.

Been trying to unblock the kitchen sink for a couple of days with no luck.Bought the drain blaster and after using it for 20 mins the sink was unblocked.I would highly certainly recommend this product.

Brilliant for unblocking those, smelly plug holes and overfows. My kitchen sink is no longer offensive to my nose!
