What a brilliant timer. Solidly made, easy to use, with two separate timers. It's well made and looks good.Ultimately it doesn't have to do a lot, I mean what do you want from a kitchen timer? (a) Easy to use and set? Check, typical man I didn't bother to read the instructions, but truth is you don't need to, it's not complicated. (b) Good Looking? Yes - Nice brushed steel finish, looks contemporary, nice little stand or magnet attachment. (c) Alert? Yes - a few other reviews have complained about the tone or volume, can't understand why it's clear without being unnecessarily loud, and yes the double alert of the flashing light may seem pointless to some but i guess if you're deaf or your hearing isn't great that may be useful. (d) Easy to use? Absolutely. I've noticed a few other reviews have slammed this for having fiddly controls and being difficult to set. NOt sure where this is coming from, I think it's a little harsh to blame the product for your own incompetence, or if you insist on trying to set it whilst wearing boxing gloves. I've got large hands and have no problem with it, my four year old son can set it without a problem. Overall it looks good, has a dual timer and works well, maybe a little pricey, but having bought cheaper ones in the past which quickly become difficult to set or just stop working I think it's worth every penny.

If you get one that works, fine, but mine lasted one cooking session and then wouldn't switch on the next day. Thought it was the battery but, no, with a fresh battery still dead as a Dodo. I won't bother with a replacement, instead I'll get a simpler timer, maybe the clockwork model that only gave up the ghost after being dropped twice onto the hard kitchen floor. Update 22/11/2017. I didn't immediately return for a refund but a couple of weeks after receiving it I decided to give it one more try. I popped the battery back in but it was still "dead". With nothing to lose, I deliberately inserted the battery the wrong way round and it didn't work, as expected, but the battery was quite difficult to remove. I extracted it with some difficulty and reinserted it correctly whereupon it fired up! Now, I rather suspect that the force applied to remove the battery had impinged upon the battery connectors and bent them somewhat with the result that they now make a positive connection. This is NOT a solution I'd recommend as normally inserting batteries the wrong way round may actually destroy the product. I was just lucky. However, a little tweaking of the connectors may be all that is necessary in an otherwise non-working unit. Now upgraded to 4* as I find the two timers not that intuitive to set and use.

Designed by a retard. This is surprising as the kitchen scales are awesome, you require something like 7 button presses to set a 2 minute timer, on the teeny tiny buttons. Then I dropped it 1 ft onto carpet and the whole front just popped open., never to be reassembled. Cheap, nasty trash, poorly designed, Shame on you Heston!

Very easy to use and portable. Like that you can time 2 things at the same time.

Not much a timer has to do really. This one looks nice and feels chunky and it, you know, times things. However the magnet on the back is feeble and can't keep the timer attached to my cooker hood - something other similar devices I have had can do with no problem (is OK on the fridge but that's MILES from the cooker). Also it beeps a lot when setting times and things. Irritating.

Bought this timer as I needed a better one. Found this timer very easy to use. The display is very clear to read. The magnet on the back of the timer makes it easy to keep your timer on your oven. Really great product.

Absolutely love this timer. Especially being able to use two timings at once. It's great that it has a magnet to fix it to my fridge right by my cooker and I love that I can also take it into the garden etc so that I don't forget what's in the oven! Perfect!!
