## Overview

Everbuild External Frame Sealant is a 290ml acrylic-based, mould-resistant sealant designed for both interior and exterior use. Its permanently flexible, no-slump formula ensures long-lasting seals around timber, metal, and PVCu frames, as well as cracks in brickwork and concrete. Overpaintable and easy to apply with standard sealant guns, it offers a professional finish and reliable protection against weather and mould.

## Description

From the manufacturer HOW TO APPLY? All surfaces must be clean and dust free. All loose or flaking surface coatings, and old sealant and mastic joints, should be removed before application. Cut the tip of the cartridge taking care not to damage the thread. Apply nozzle and cut cleanly at an angle of 45° with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be sealed. Apply using a standard sealant gun. Best results will be obtained by keeping an even pressure on the gun trigger and keeping the gun at a constant angle to the surface being sealed. Smooth down within 20 minutes of application using a wetted spatula, piece of wood or smooth down tool. Care should be taken at this point not to saturate the surface as this will delay drying.

**Q: Will this be any good to fill a slight gap on vinyl floor tiles the self adhesive type tile**
A: Absolutely the wrong product. It doesn't set - so walking on it will remove the skin and it will tread everywhere. It will also harbour dirt and can't be properly cleaned. Some sort of acrylic grout will do it - but it will crack out if the sub floor is in any way flexible.

**Q: can you use it over existing silicone sealant? I've got a couple of thin areas of sealant around a window so wanted to apply it over this**
A: Hi, unfortunately any remaining sealant should be removed before applying another sealant.

**Q: can you this on stone , marble or will it bleed into it ?**
A: Hi, we would not advise this for natural stone such as marble.

**Q: Will this stick between car paint (metal) and glass (not structural)? How long to cure? Can i apply it in cold temps?**
A: I wouldn't advise it because there is nothing to key to as the surfaces would be too smooth. However there are clear silicone mastics available that will adhere to glass and painted metal. You normally find these used in aquarium and pond purposes. They are more expensive but they can be used even when surfaces are wet and are weather proof immediately even in cold temps.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to apply and cures quickly

I purchased this Everbuild external frame sealant for use in an old stone barn with wooden window frames. The wooden frame had warped over the summer months and the autumn rain was making its way inside a gap and running down the inside of the building. Not good! But within a few minutes this sealant was applied and then, after curing (it was left completely dry for about 10 hours), the leak was fixed. The sealant was easy to apply using a little water and a steady finger, which achieved a nice finish. The grey colour is what I'd call a battleship grey. It looks nice and matches the stone wall of my outbuilding well. Like most things following the recent cost of living crisis the price was higher than expected, but it was fairly priced compared to high street stores near me and buying in multiples brought the price down a bit too.
