EZARC Japanese Teeth Oscillating Saw Blades 5-Pack

I work primarily with domestic hardwoods like oak and maple, but also some exotics such as padouk and purpleheart. Being an apartment dweller without a permanent shop space these days, the oscillating multi-tool is a helpful aid on many projects. I wanted to test these EZARC Japanese Tooth blades to see how they would hold up against clean hardwoods (i.e. no nails or other metal). I had already cut a board-foot or so on the day they arrived, and saw how smooth the cuts were (excellent, quite frankly). But considering these blades are Cr-V and not HSS (or even HCS), long term longevity may be a different story. After cutting through about 3 board-feet of white oak so far, the teeth are doing well. I tried to get some photos with the teeth in sharp focus (my apologies, but it wasn't 100% successful :-) Regardless, you can see that the teeth appear to be in pretty good shape. There are no nicks or chips visible, and the tips of the teeth are still very sharp. FYI - The shadows on a few of the teeth make it look like they have started bending outward (these blades have no set on the teeth at all). But I don't think that's really true, at least not significantly. I am including some photos of a brand new blade, and you can see that the same is true of the new blade with respect to the shadows. All in all, I think these blades are excellent quality. I will update my review with some longer-term observations once I've used them on a few more projects :-)

We've been using these blades to install new flooring. They're particularly effective at cutting the bottom of doorway trim to slip flooring planks underneath, as well as for other similar uses. I would recommend these.

These are decent blades. They seem to be of good quality, cuts/ performs well, and the price is fair. Only issue I have is the finish on the blades transfers easily over to the material you are cutting, especially when you are trying to flush cut, the black paint on the blades will rub onto your material very easily. Good news is that its fairly easy to fix by dipping them in acetone or giving it a stray w brake cleaner. Comes right off. But took a star off bc of the additional work needed.

These blades cut better than others. The curved shape is a big improvement. Will purchase again.

I wish I would've known about this a long time ago. all those places I couldn't quite reach with a standard blade. it's opened up a whole new way to cut in hard to reach areas. I only use the Japanese blades now. the teeth are much more aggressive, so much better than standard sawtooth.

By far the best wood cutting multi tool blades I have used. Used on a Dewalt and a Ryobi multi tool and they cut through hard and soft wood like butter. And I'm not just comparing to some cheap no name blades. I've used Bosch, Dewalt, Diablo, Irwin to name just a few and these are #1 in my opinion when it comes to cutting wood. Just make sure there's no sneaky nails in there. That does mess these up pretty quick :( But they don't pretend to be used for that.
