A nice starter set
K'NEX is such a great toy! I have found memories of playing with K'nex when I was growing up and it is now time to let my kid have the same fun I once had.It is an amazing framework that allows kids to have fun, be creative, problem solve and learn, all at the same time. This set is a great starter kit that allowed my kid to slowly learn the concepts of K'NEX. It has many building options, providing entertainment for hours. It also has a reasonable amount of K'NEX parts, allowing my kid to be imaginative and try different ideas. I definitely recommend it.I sincerely hope BasicFun! can capitalize on nostalgic fathers like me, by investing more into the K'NEX franchise, and bring back classics such as the K'NEX Big Ball Factory building set and other classic (classic K'NEX type) roller coaster sets.

A great starter set
This was bought for my son for his 5th birthday (he quite happily makes 7+ Lego models), he has played with it a bit but it is quite hard to connect some of the pieces if you don’t have the right technique/strength and the instructions need quite a bit of thought. My 7 year old however hasn’t stopped playing with it and has built some amazing things without any help. Both following the instructions and making his own creations. It is a great “step up” from Zoob and seems fairly robust, we’ve only had a few broken pieces. It is great value considering what you can build vs Lego, just be mindful of the age rating, it is fairly accurate if you want to build the complex models. We’ll be buying more soon.

Fun time with the kids.
Great fun and a great price when I purchased them.I was looking for something interactive to do with the kids and these were on offer. Having never tried K'NEX I decided to give them a go. The result has been satisfying with my two kids and I captivated for hours at a time building models from the book and of our own creation.Comments with regard to the amount of parts and the size of the box were proven, however the box is intended to accommodate multiple sets so don't be surprised. There's tons of parts, including wheels etc. to make great models. Note: There is no motorInspired us to purchase one of the K'NEX roller coasters which is also great.

Good Basic Set
Nice comprehensive beginner's set. I've bought many of the K'Nex products over the years for my great nephew who loves anything technical. This is the first for a much younger great nephew who has similar taste. The only disappointment was that the box is cardboard ( I was aware of this when I ordered) as I can't see it standing the rigours of being played with by a six year old. I know that the box shape looks more impressive and gives the impression that it holds more than it does but a flat lid would be more robust. A touch of cynical marketing even for this age group I'm afraid. And there's no denying that kids love things that come in big boxes.

this is a great product. Lost of pieces and things to build
Bought this for my 4 year old son. I obviously made the mistake by not properly checking the age category as it is a bit too fiddly for him. But... this is a great product. Lost of pieces and things to build. It can really get your imagination going. It is the perfect gift for any child who likes to build and be creative.

Kids love it. The instruction book is a bit of downpoint.
Our kids love k'nex!! Good quality, a lot of ideas! Thank you, K'nex! The only thing is the instruction book - gives information only for few and simplest models, the rest you have to download online. Then it's too much and too costly to print, so end up building models from the downloaded pictures on the computer. That's inconvenient. Maybe K'nex will rethink how many and what models to put in the instruction book which comes in the box?

Mixed reception
Grandson liked it but we were frustrated that the instructions for the most exciting designs are not in the box but only available online. The one he wanted to do would have cost me £5 to print off in my local library so a bit of a non-starter. Don't put pictures of what you can build on the box unless you include instructions!
