I really like this Z-adjustment and wish I had bought it earlier. Easy to install and works accurately and smoothly.

This is well designed and constructed, and the action is smooth, without backlash, so it's easy to precisely position the laser diode assembly over a wide range of height. The mechanism does move the laser a centimeter or so towards the Y zero point, so you'll have to compensate by using the included adjustment plate to move the Y-axis limit switch -- otherwise the diode housing will hit the front frame before the limit switch, which of course isn't a good idea. Installation is as easy as removing a few machine screws and replacing them -- it took about 5 minutes or less.

Works great with my old machine and 5 watt lf laser. The only thing I didn't like is when I scanned the qr code for the directions ith website was unavailable. When I typed it in it was still unavailable. This ment I was completely on my own to figure out how it installed. Thankfully I found a video with some still pictures of the install manual and was able to get my machine up and running with it. I have burned several items and it makes focusing the laser fast and easy. All said and done I wish I would have gotten this upgrade sooner as it is a real time saver.

it was as described. The problem i have is not the controller but the operator. I bought it because i had a Laser tree K20 module that i had installed (works grerat} on my Ortur. Unfortunately, the gizmo doesn't fit that particular model. i may have to do some operator adjustment to make it fit.. Or get a bigger hammer.. Just kidding. I'll use it on my regular ortur laser module for now.. If anyone has any ideas on how to finangle this, please feel free to let me know.

The design is great, makes it a lot more convenient to adjust the focal length of the laser.The build quality is on par for Ortur, but some details were overlooked.After installing the z-axis adjustment plate, the x-axis and y-axis limit switched need to be adjusted too. No big deal its all in the instructions.The first problem is with the y-axis limit switch. Instructions say to adjust the switch out 30mm, however after doing so there is not enough wire length to plug it back it. I will have to get longer plug ins for the switch to work. Not the end of the world but definitely should have been included.The second issue is when installing the longer pillar washer that offset the x-axis limit switch. This time the hardware was included except the new screws are too short. They are barely long enough to catch maybe half a thread on the nut, but then slips out. Again not the end of the world, just a trip to the hardware store to get longer screws, but should have been the proper length the first time. With all that said, I still think it is worth the money and will make ease of adjusting the focus.

This is a required accessory for the Ortur Laser Master 2 Pro. without it - you are very limited. Easy to install. It does require the limit switch to be offset. There's plenty of videos out there on how to do that. After that, you will need to make sure your spoilboard grid is offset. You can find special files to get the grid burned correctly to compensate for the change in the axis - just do a search for "ortur offset grid". They are out there and this will make your etching easy to match this unit's changes. Once done with that, you are ready to go.

Allows for setting the laser to extra low and extra high settings that were not previously possible. Seriously expands the type of engraving jobs you can do.

This should be standard on Ortur LM 2 Pro. It is now rock solid with no lateral movement. No more fighting with those 2 locking screws.
