My 2nd Rexing USA Dash Cam and I’m very happy with it. My current V1P with added rear camera worked great, but I wanted to upgrade. Mine is in an Infiniti G60, and sits nicely behind the rearview mirror. I prefer it mounted up and out of the way, with V55’s voice control it makes it truly hands free. THANK YOU REXING for making the hardwired power supply backwards compatible. Meaning my current V1P camera is hardwired in, so this upgrade is literally plug and play. I did need to change out windshield mount, but I feel this new design is more secure. It takes a bit of effort to remove the old mount, but only because my hands are big and the working area is small. I went with a 256 GB micro-SD card. Again, a nice camera feature is the ability to handle a large memory card. I also like the built in GPS logger, whereas before it was an add on. Vehicle location, speed, and direction of travel imbedded in the video can be invaluable if needed for court or insurance purposes. Adding a rear camera was very easy, I upgraded that also. The expandability allows for both a rear camera and an in-vehicle facing one as well. Add in dual band wi-fi and you’ve got a top of the camera at a very good price point. Overall, the Rexing USA V55 is very nice camera. It looks sharp, functions as it should, and offers all the features you need. I’ve only needed to contact Rexing USA support twice, but both times they were quick to respond and seemed to really want to help. Oh yeah, did I mention the V55 records in 4K…

This is my 3rd Rexing Dashcam. It is by far the best. I have a V1 and a V3. The V3 is in my wife's car as she drives people around and it has a rear facing cabin camera also. I purchased this thinking I would give it to my son, but after using it, I am going to keep it for myself. The video quality is excellent - better than my other 2. Picture is crisp and better night vision. The camera is on a very tight swivel ball, and is infinitely adjustable in any direction, allowing you to adjust for misalignment mount. And the mount is really solid, making the picture that much better. This unit has GPS, and the GPS information gets added to the video, making the location indisputable. Very handy if you need proof. The V55 has built in WiFi - 2.4 or 5G. Have not used that yet other than to verify it works. The screen is larger than the other units which makes it easier to see. Add to that voice control for basic functions, and this is quite a package! As for other functions, it also has collision detection so if there is an accident the video is auto-protected. If you have it on a hot line to the fuse box with a smart hardwire kit, the unit record if detects a collision while parked, or tampering. The Micro SD card can be as large as 256GM, so there is ample room for recording. Add on modules allow for a rear facing camera, and a rear car camera. For the money, this is a no brainer. High quality recording, really nice functionality, good build quality, and an 18 month warranty when registered.

For a Rexing V55: I really wanted to like this product, but I just can't.. I can't read the microsd card in my computer, and the app is worse than useless, regularly refusing to connect to the camera. THANK GOD for the very brief notice at the end of all their troubleshooting help pointing me to Ti2Cam app for IOS. This product was Intuitive and connected first time, every time.. The Card Issue - The manual is clear, format the microsd card in the camera. Take it out and mount it in your local computer for bulk access to the files. That doesn't work for me, short research on the internet suggests I'm not the only one. Computer says it's corrupted ExFAT, so format ExFAT in the computer, put it back in camera, camera rejects it and tells me to format it. Wash rinse repeat. So, I'm locked into using the app to manage video files.. The App Issue - The app worked once, for a while.. But then it just wouldn't any more. AT ALL.. EVER. So frustrating. The only thing that makes this camera useful to me is that Ti2Cam DVR app connects easily and lets me manage files.. But why do I need to do so much file management anyway? Voice Command (Enabled) - I left the voice command feature enabled, but didn't actually attempt to use it ever.. I actually just sort of forgot about it.. Leap forward a few weeks and I start to hear these "SHWINNNNG!!" noises on a pretty regular basis. My vehicle is also new to me, so I took me a bit to figure that the noise was coming from the camera and it was randomly triggering the lock video command. That left me with quite a few files I needed to manage, but wait... I can't put it in my laptop!? The app is *&^*&^ (bad word), and just never wants to connect.. And lastly my return period is long past, so, I guess I'll just put up with it.. With voice commands disabled it seems to work just fine at the basic function involved. Anyway, I would not make this purchase again and would not recommend it to my friends. That being said, it takes good video, appears of reasonable quality in physical terms.

Rexing Dash Cam V 55 This is my third Rexing Dash cam. The other two have been gifted to my relatives and they are still working without any problems. The 4K resolution is excellent and the videos are amazing. The night vision is also excellent. The mount is solid, and the camera stays put without any vibrations. The color display is large and clear. The video playback is vivid, and details are clearly recognizable. The lens is movable and fine adjustments can be made to position it exactly as intended. The built in GPS logger constantly updates the direction, speed, and GPS coordinates. It was easy to connect the Rexing Connect app on my phone to the camera. The instructions on the app are easy to follow. The voice commands make it easier to turn on or off the screen, take pictures, start, and stop a video. There are other voice commands all of which make driving safer. A bit disappointed that it did not come with a rear camera but will be trying to get one since there are connections available for two more cameras. All in all this is a reliable camera and I have no hesitation in recommending this to my family and friends.

I live in S Florida so lots of things melt inside your closed vehicle; the older Rexing cams have all lasted years, let's see what this bad-boy does.....I like it now, more later in October or so... News Flash! Please Read: My email to Rexing Care:Hello, I DID receive the new replacement V55 as promised - Thank You. In updating the firmware on the new unit I found this: The screen went black [blank] after updating and I read the instructions carefully. I did the power button procedure a few times and each time it just updated the firmware AGAIN leaving the .bin file in place so-there-fore the .bin file started each time power was applied. After the third try, I removed power cable, removed the card and inserted into my PC and manually removed the firmware update .bin file. I then inserted the card into the V55, re-powered and re-formatted. The result was proper operation with 128g or 256g cards working properly. You may wish to have someone try this and re-write your instructions for updating firmware on this model. Had I read instructions that pointed out a manual removable of the .bin file my camera was probably OK. Thank you, Ted

The Rexing V55 camera is very easy to install and setup. The relatively small size makes it easy to conceal near the roofline of the front window. It is best to avoid placing the camera lens view through the tinted portion of your window. The adjustable lens in front makes fine tuning the front view very easy to perform. The camera setup is simple to accomplish once you understand the menu and selection buttons as detailed in the included manual. The camera does its job very unobtrusively, turning on at startup and recording video/sound whenever the ignition is turned on. There are several ways to view the recorded files, 1) simply playback on the camera, 2) download using WiFi to review with your mobile device, 3) use a wired cable to connect, or 4) simply remove the micro-SD card and review the files. The V55 does include a GPS logger that keeps track of speed and location for easy review along with video footage later. I would disagree with the Reviewer who said the Rexing V55 is too large. This Dash Cam is pretty standard in size. Note that the 4K video files are high quality (see attached day/night images) and rather large in size, these require a suitably capable video device to review without buffering. The camera is capable of bright nighttime scenes along with excellent daytime views, there is some lens flare due to bright lights at night and when the sun is in the view, however the camera does a good job adjusting the sensitivity to make recorded video clear. The wide 170 degree angle view is very reasonable for a front directed camera. In summary the camera is simple and easy to use, and it does an excellent job of recording video and sound while driving or parked.

The camera takes beautiful video while driving and it’s very clear. My issues are with customer support and with some of the technical features. The wifi on the camera takes forever to connect to and it frequently disconnects. I did the permanent install with the Rexing smart connection. It worked great for awhile. I was able to pull video of someone backing into my truck while I was parked. This past weekend, my truck was broken into. I checked the video and there was nothing. I then noticed the camera wasn’t staying on while it was parked. I checked the connection and it powered right back up and did the parking monitor until after I drove again and then it shut off with the ignition. I reached out to customer support a week ago and have heard nothing. Update December 2025: We were driving in some terrible weather and witnessed several crashes. The camera randomly started rebooting over and over again. It would record 1 second and then power cycle again. I reached out to customer service again and once again no response.

This dash cam is fantastic! I decided it was time for an upgrade and I know for sure this was the right and great choice! The packaging was secure and kept everything safe. The camera was very easy to install with the included sticky mounts and the camera lens can be adjusted, left, right, up or down so you can make sure that it gets the perfect angle no matter where it gets installed. I found the menus with all the options very easy to use. The cord that comes with it is very long, so it's easy to hide the wire and route it as wanted without worrying about running out of length. The picture quality and sound quality it picks up is great! The voice commands are pretty cool too and worked just fine when I tried all of them. The screen it has is easy to see and read. Lastly, I have to give major kudos to the 5GHZ WI-FI, when I used the app on my phone it just was speeding fast and downloaded these 120MB larger size videos because of the increased quality in just a few seconds compared to like a minute on my older one with smaller sized videos, a definite time saver. One tip I would suggest is to get a large SD card just to ensure you have plenty of room, I'd say at least 128GB to be extra safe, which compared to a 64GB really isn't even that much more money.
