Airflow Ankle Support for Running– Knitted - Black – LARGE

Firstly I must say that I bought this support after a fairly short review of various different ankle support available (this looking the best from other reviews).Now I had my first Marathon booked for December, but due to getting a bad Sprain on my ankle in August and having to do no running for 2 Months, I was looking for some form of ankle support. Now Tapes and cumbersome Supports seemed to get Mediocre reviews, however this sock seemed to get consistent, decent, reviews. So I bought it.I must say that where my right ankle sometimes throbbed after building distance runs, with the support - not so much. In fact I started to panic before training for my new Marathon named the Marathon Day Marathon in Deal (Walmer) on the 26/2/15 (yesterday).I had a new plan to build for this Marathon, and with this Ankle Support there seemed no stopping me.Basically, this support is a great support and very important to me personally, I really feel it helped me today (now yesterday), to achieve my goal of finishing my first Marathon (finished in 4.29 - respectable).So thank-you to the Maker and Seller for this.For Proof this is real follow me on Instagram my name bigjonnypbOn there it has all the info of my training etcThanks Neo G, and to anyone with an Ankle sprain, I really recommend this product.Thanks,Jonathan Bright

It arrived quickly and did exactly what I expected.

I've got "bad ankles" - having repeatedly torn ligaments in both ankles I'm left with weak ankles and am very prone to spraining or repeated tearing.I've got 2x "Aircast A60 Ankle Brace" - which are excellent for running etc. to prevent the likely hood of further injury, but these are too bulking for regular use, and don't really help once the injury has actually occurred... which is where these supports come in.Using the size guideline I'm in the middle of large - seems the right size for me. Not too tight, not too loose.I've been wearing these Neo G Airflow supports post injury... bought after 2 weeks to total rest. I've actually bought one for each foot as I find that I end up putting more weight on the good foot and that ankle then starts playing up as well.They've given me the confidence to start walking around again with care.5 starts because they're reasonably priced, very comfortable indeed and work well for me after these 2 weeks of total rest.All I need to find now is something that offers more active support for the 1st 2 weeks of my next injury... which I know will happen eventually.

The ankle strap was supportive

I bought two of these for giving a bit of extra support to my weak ankles for playing football. Despite the picture of the foot on a football they are not really appropriate for this purpose. It's not a bad quality product but it's not what you might expect:What it's not:An ankle support - it's very thin and won't give any additional support to the ankle against over rotation or extensionFor sport/short high intensity use - If you've got a dodgy ankle and you want to go running or play a sport this will not help prevent further injury.What it is:A compression sock. Good for long term wear and recovery at the lighter stage of discomfort/injury.Very thin - easy to put on under socks and wear all dayA quick note on size - in the reviews lots of people suggested it was very tight and to er on the larger side. This was not my experience. I'm size 11 (UK) i measured above the ankle 23cm and over the ankle bone 26/27cm. I wasn't sure which was the right measure to use and opted for the large size. Actually it's not difficult to get on or off and not really that tight. I've used many ankle supports in the past and I find they work best when they are pretty tight, it should be a bit of a struggle to get it on. If i was to buy again I would consider going medium.

Felt a bit tight at first but have had no problems wearing it for long periods of time. Whether it will help long-term I'm not sure yet, but so far so good. Less bulky than other supports so fits in normal shoes well.One month later.... I've now bought a second one! I have a weak ankle joint and have found that since wearing the support my ankle feels tighter and stronger, I get much less pain when wearing it and notice the difference when I don't wear it. I must admit I'm surprised how well it works for me. If you don't notice a difference at first, persevere, as it took a few weeks for me to notice a difference. Give it a go, you never know, it might help you too!

utter rubbish - puchased the size as per the size chart and won't even go over my toes, my ankle and foot is very swollen due to an accident and really needed this for support, hugely dissapointed.Can't get a refund either,Don't waste your money!!!

Excellent article, fitted well

Wow, this is just what I needed for my sprained peroneal tendon! Remaining active while wearing a rigid brace put so much strain on my hip joint that ligaments in that area got inflamed and put me out of commission for weeks. Flexible support is exactly what I needed and this is just the right amount. It's hot and humid this week, and I expected the cuff to be at least a little bit uncomfortably warm, but just the opposite -- my foot and ankle actually feel cooler with it on. I realize that sounds impossible, but maybe has to do with the compression helping circulation (ankle's swollen like an elephant's!). Anyhow, I love it. It's super comfortable, gently supportive (just enough), and the compression is also great since I stand almost all day (can't sit until the hip area heals).If you need a rigid brace, this isn't it. But if you need support rather than immobility, this is a really nice product.

Bon service; conforme à la description; chevillère légère mais qui comprime juste ce qu'il il faut, sans couture, et qui ne gène pas la marche. Soutient suffisamment si portée dans une chaussure de randonnée. J'en achète une deuxième pour pouvoir faire de la lessive lors des randonnées de plusieurs jours.
