Excellent - A Must Try To Believe It Mouse
CSL - TM137U optical mouse / vertical model | ergonomic design - prevention against mouse arm/tennis arm (RSI syndrome) - particularly arm-friendly | wireless | 5 buttons This is an excellent Vertical Mouse. I was going to get another Anker Wireless Vertical Mouse (also excellent) - but then I thought "How do I tell them apart on the desk." I then came across what looked like the 'same mouse' - only from CSL. And it was cheaper - definitely worth the risk. The CSL is almost identical to the Anker - or perhaps the Anker is almost identical to the CSL? Differences are 1. no branding name on the surface of the CSL 2. The wheel hub of the the CSL is shiny black while the Anker wheel is shiny chrome 3. The palm surface area of the CSL is a nice flat matt black with a great feel while, also with a great feel, the Anker is a sort of Pearl black finish. Holding the two side by side you can see the different "shades of black" - both look good. 4. The CSL came in an excellent "white box" - the Anker in a retail package - both great for their purpose ... but as a consumer I'd rather have the money saved by not having a 'retail attractive box' to throw away, than pay extra for it. 5. The CSL came with 2 AAA batteries to get you started. The 'mouse' tilt / angle will help with people having wrist / lower arm problems when using a 'normal mouse'. I noticed an almost immediate 'relieving' of the problems I was having (see Anker review). The only change I'd make to either of them would be to 'steepen' the palm face angle a bit more - but that may not suit everyone. If you are at all 'iffy' about trying a vertical mouse this is the model to try - you will find it quite easy, and quick, to re-learn your grip. At this price (including postage) you'd be silly not to give it a try - and it's wireless so no cluttering cables, and the wireless receiver is a tiny usb stub that requires no setting up - I use mine in Windows 7 and Linux Mint, laptop and desktop, without problems - it just worked. The only downside to both these vertical mice is the thumb operated web page forward / backward buttons are not right for my thumb. I never use them so I don't have a problem with this. The wheel works well, right & left mouse clicks are good, the body is easy and light to hold and move - together with the improved wrist angle that's enough for me. I don't know why it took so long for me to try this type of mouse, I should have tried them years ago - perhaps it was the high cost of the earlier ones that put me off - too much to 'risk'. How long the batteries will last I don't know - but a good feature of both CSL & Anker is that they have an 'auto-off' after a certain time of non-use; a real battery saver. A single clicks powers it up again (earlier wireless mice I've had I was always leaving 'on' - not good). All in all an excellent, and very sensible, vertical mouse at an excellent price.

Great mouse, regardless of how often you use a computer
To start, I would like to say that I like this mouse A LOT. I was dubious about getting one as I was worried about whether or not I could use it after using a 'traditional' computer mouse for so many years. Being an IT professional myself, I use a computer for 12 hrs a day and as you can imagine this can take it's toll on one's wrist and elbow. Regardless of how many times you release the mouse and rotate your wrist, shake your arm or simply hang it to your side, there is always a certain tension running up it. On of my collegaues purchased one of these before i did and he swore by it so despite my reservations I took the plunge! Installation of the mouse is easy as it's Plug and Play (in Windows 7 at least). The drivers do take some time to install as they are downloaded from Windows Update so be prepared to wait 5 - 10 mins for them to be setup correctly. However once this is done you're good to go. On top of the mouse is a larger button which adjusts the speed of the cursor. This is denoted by a flashing red light on the mouse on each press of it - one flash = slow, 2 flashes = medium (my setting) and 3 flashes = fast. Near the light you have 2 more buttons which are used for web browsing forward and backwards between web pages. Not essential for some people but a nice addition all the same. Finally you have the traditional left and right mouse buttons as well as a scroll wheel. As for usage I've had this mouse over a month now and can't honestly believe how I lived without it! My reservations about adjusting to it were quashed within the first 10 minutes - it feels as natural as a 'traditional' mouse only now without the niggling pain in my wrist or elbow. It is extremely comfortable and with this in mind, as the title says, great for any type of user whether you're a heavy user or a casual user. The only thing to note is that there isn't a left handed version available at the time of writing but i hope the manufacturer will address this in the future as it seems a shame for all of you lefties to miss out! I can't comment on battery life yet as i haven't had to change them so far but will update my reveiw when i do. But overall a great mouse that really does have health benefits too - Highly recommended.

Good and comfortable
Mouse received as promised. Packaging is good, and the mouse fits very comfortably in my hand. It feels far more natural to hold a mouse at this angle than a normal mouse. I had read that some people find their hand dragging on the desk because of the angle the mouse is at, and I can see that this could be an issue for those with big hands, but it seems to be ok thus far. It is made with a satin finish, which, while not a soft-touch material, is pleasant in the hand and promises not to get sticky on hot days. Took it straight out the box, put the two (included) AAA batteries in, plugged in the USB, and it worked immediately on my Windows 8.1 machine. My only two negative observations are that the click wheel feels a little loose on the spindle; it has a little left/right play in it, whereas I would have hoped for it to be more solidly mounted, and that I had no idea what the "DPI" button was for (it adjusts the sensitivity of the mouse, apparently) - the included instructions were unclear. Certainly, as I have been struggling with a very painful forearm for some months now, I am hopeful that taking away the need to hold my hand like a claw while using a regular mouse will aleviate this once and for all. I liked it enough to buy an extra one for my home PC, and a third for a co-worker who also struggles with RSI from excessive mouse-usage.

This is the "white label" version of this particular mouse, Anker also sell it on Amazon but at the time it was cheaper to get this unbranded version than pay to let Anker stamp their name obtrusively on the side! Excellent, but price-check the two in case it's different now. After spending a long time pondering just the right mouse, and almost plumping for one of Logitech's top end MX mice, I'd heard good things about ergonomic mice and for maybe 1/6th of the price of an MX it seemed at least worth a try. I use a mouse all day every day, sometimes feeling the pain sometimes in the past, and this has, touch wood, cured it. In the initial few days it caused a new strain in my shoulder, of all places, but quickly disappeared never to return. After the initial awkwardness of change I no longer even notice and have no intention of going back. I miss little about fancier features and it's smart enough - frankly, smarter - to look nice left out on a home desk. I sent it flying across the room a couple of times when new, forgetting to give extra clearance to hand movement, but also was never thought about again. I also like the fact it turns off automatically to be re-awakened with a click, I often used to accidentally wake my computer by knocking the mouse. Not any more! I use it for games and have noticed no issues at all, in fact the curve makes it easier to lift off the desk than a flat mouse. The only feature it didn't tick when purchasing was silent buttons. They are what I would describe as "old-school". Not noisy, not quiet. I would still like silent buttons really, but unless your keyboard is also silent it would be redundant. I feel silly talking about quiet buttons as I sit here to the far louder clatter of typing. However, there is one really big problem with this mouse. I've attached a photo of my hand on the mouse, plus the stock photo equivalents from both Anker and CCL. As you can see, there's a profound difference between where my thumb rests versus the presumably substantially diminutive photo model's hands. That's an old trick, but deliberate trick or not, it means the nearest thumb button is completely unusable for me and by I certainly do not have large hands. I got around this by using the X-Mouse Button Control software on Windows to flip the functionality of the back/forward buttons, since forward is almost never used even though I use the internet for much of the day, and I'm happy enough to have to shift my hand completely to press the other button on those rare occasions. That is the only reason I can think of not to give this mouse a go, even if you were looking for something pricey. If it doesn't pan out you haven't lost too much, and another nice aspect of cheap mice is having a spare. Surprisingly stranding when you don't. UPDATE MAY 2017: 6 months on, having used this mouse exclusively, my opinion has not changed. UPDATE AUGUST 2017: I bought a Logitech Triathlon as I needed to switch quickly between devices. It's surely one of Logitech's best mice... and still nowhere near as comfortable as this one. I miss it. UPDATE JANUARY 2020: Have used it on and off since, but mostly stuck with a Logitech mouse. Times have changed and the lack of Bluetooth connection is a little much nowadays.

Good Value Alternative Mouse Which Has Eased My Wrist Pain
Good alternative mouse which works surprisingly well. I bought it as it was best value from the various options. It also has replaceable batteries - which keeps the replacements under your control and not relying on a 'locked-in' battery. Good weight and shape which feels better than it's price. You can almost forget that it is a cheap copy. Other reviews negative issues were not a problem for me. The 'ratcheted' wheel works fine as the movements are small. The click to reactivate (rather than move) is also OK. If you want these functions you can pay a lot more. Also there is no distracting light in normal operation. A nice feature is that the transmitter slides within the body of the mouse so keeping them together. I have used it on a few machines with no problem. One issue I did note is that if you go back and forth from the mouse and keyboard that the top 'fin' can get in the way. Just needs some adaptation of movement by the user. My wrist feels much better so top marks for the very reasonable price. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After 6 weeks of use it's settled into regular use. It has survived a few drops and is working well. I do miss the 'feel' of a quality mouse - but the ยฃ60 saving more than compensates...

Totally recommended
I've been using this mouse for over a week and what can I say apart from mentioning how brilliant it is! I don't suffer from anything in particular but I do work around 10 hours a day with my computer so I thought I would get one of this ergonomic mice as sometimes I feel discomfort by the end of the week on my wrists. The mouse feel good and is responsive and I needed no time to get used to it going from a standard mouse that I used for over 8 years... and now I don't think I will ever go back to my old one.. As I said I've used for only one week so I can't say how reliable it is but the quality feels good when you take into account how little it cost compared to other alternatives that are 3 or 4 times the price I paid for it. I decided to go for the wireless one as I prefer not to have cables laying around my desk so this review is based on the one I've got. All in all, really good value for money, a really comfortable mouse at an affordable price. If you spend several hours with a computer a day I would suggest you give it a try....

Good replacement for a standard mouse, with some drawbacks
The positives: - The price. - The vertical grip position does indeed feel more natural when making side to side movements with the mouse. - All buttons are recognised on my Mac. I didn't even have to change any settings in BetterTouchTool, which is the app I was using for the button actions of my last mouse (a Logitech). - The DPI button on the mouse makes it very easy to change the sensitivity of the mouse (for detailed work on a drawing, for example). - All the buttons have a nice, positive "click". - Battery life is good - a month so far from the 2 included AAA batteries. This is probably due to the sleep function (see the negatives below). The negatives: - The scroll wheel is ratchet only, no freewheel option (for zipping quickly through a web page). I miss that. - There's no left/right tilt click on the wheel (for side scrolling). - Since the mouse sits in the crook of your thumb, small hands may have difficulty reaching the buttons and wheel. - The two thumb-operated buttons are uncomfortably positioned (for me), particularly the rear one. I already have an ache in my thumb as a result. I'd have preferred a button directly under the thumb. - The mouse sleeps (the cursor doesn't move when you move the mouse) if left unattended for a few minutes. A click wakes it, but I'd have preferred it to awaken with mouse movement. - The height takes a little getting used to. When moving my hand rapidly from keyboard to mouse, I have sometimes knocked it over or swiped it completely off the desk. Overall, the build quality is not as good as that of the Logitechs I've owned: a less solid feel, thinner plastic, no rubberised grip sections. But for the price it's a perfectly decent mouse and the unusual design is more than just a gimmick. 7/10 Edit: I had some problems with the mouse pointer "sticking" occasionally, as mentioned in some other reviews. What fixed it for me was moving the USB dongle onto a different USB hub.

A unique mouse that is more comfortable than normal.
I've had this mouse a few months, I found out about it when reading a piece in the Guardian, and needing a wireless mouse, I bought it. At first it seemed odd, but I quickly got used to it. I have found it at least as good as other mouses I have used (mice?). It is quite accurate and I even use it for photo retouching in Photoshop. All the buttons are easy to use and light to operate, the wheel works well. Perhaps the only odd thing is, if you haven't been using it for a while it doesn't respond to movement until you flick the wheel. You soon get used to operating the wheel to get it going again and in normal use it is very fluent. (this may be a peculiarity of my setup). I have noticed tht it does certainly put less strain on your wrist which remains in a natural position, so, if you spend all day on a PC it would definitely help to keep your wrist healthy. Build quality is as good a the best from Logitech, it has a switch to turn it off to conserve the battery and the dongle is of the more up to date sort and very small. Lastly the company really cannot do enough for you and is very attentive, not that I've needed to get in touch but they have enquired with me about my satisfaction.
