This product does help gently clean the tar buildup inside your diesel intake tract, the application takes 15 minutes or so as you need to spray it in small 2-3 second bursts and wait for the revs to receed back to 2k rpm. My 2012 kia ceed 1.6 crdi has never had the intake removed and as im unable to find replacement gaskets that are seperate and not in a full engine rebuild kit im not taking it apart to do a deep clean to remove every gram of carbon buildup. I could see my throttle body plate was relatively clean but behind it in the intake tract was full of tar and the walls were lined with carbon buildup, after using this product I had to clear a engine ECU fault code so the vehicle would start after connecting the intercooler hose back to the intake just like what Liqui Moly explain in their instructional video. I went for a little drive to see how more responsive my throttle was and if it had any effect on my mpg usage - Instead of being between 31-28mpg while doing 30mph I was getting 40-41mpg, when going out onto an NSL road instead of seeing my mpg slowly climb to about 36 It quickly rose to 44mpg, the throttle is much smoother and my turbo seems a lot happier having more air available - the results are surprising so i will continue to buy this product and use it every few months to keep my system clean as i already use archoil 6900-d max in the fuel every tank and have done for 7 months. Honestly it's expensive but it's worth it - It won't strip your intake tract clean as if it was brand new as its non penetrating but it will break down the sludgey tar and help remove some deposits as overtime your intake tract becomes clad with the buildup which reduces the volume of air your engine gets, this helps improve the volume in a gentle fashion that wont cause a large chunk of carbon to fly off into the engine and cause a valve to stick open or fly down into the DPF to clog the matrix. Brilliant product, Liqui Moly do know what they are doing. As i did this application solo i had to put some weight onto the throttle to keep it at around 2k rpm for the application.

I only ended up using half of the bottle as I was worried about hydo locking the engine. I followed the instructions and it worked a treat. Previously my vehicle was giving off a smoke trail when turbo was under load. After using liqui this was no longer the case. Would recommend to others. Will also be using the other half of the remaining as a preventative measure maybe once a year

It’s a bit faffy and messy to do the job but it worked a treat and saved me a lot of money had it needed to go k to the garage? Well worth the money

It's very effective against clearing diesel deposits in the intake throttle. It does what it says on the tin.

This is the best cleaner I have used and I only used 1/4 of the tin ,having the long tub attachment really helps with the cleaning .

Pretty useless. Didn't clean the egr valve at all. I had to remove it as it was faulty and the egr valve cleaner hadn't made any difference
