Never had a problem with any of their gear. It just works. This one surprised me though. Didn't even get it into field before it broke. Mounted it to FX30 cage, put Ninja 5 on it, tightened it down. Cabled up monitor and set rig down - 5 minutes later my ninja crashed into my lens as the magic arm had failed. Fortunately only minor cosmetic damage to the ninja. Still. Not up to SmallRig standards, hoping it's just a defective unit.Update -- They reached out and sent a replacement arm... Yep it seems it was just a defective item. Still strange for SmallRig, but it happens to every company from time to time. AND more importantly, they made it right. The new unit works brilliantly and I gave it quite a working in this afternoon to try and make it fail - but no issues. So 5 stars despite the shaky start for this particular item. Trust in SmallRig is restored.. and then some.

I've currently been using it to hold an umbrella and it's really surprised me by its strength to hold steady even in high wind situations. Great value for money. Thanks!

These are my favorite magic arms. I love the AT locking pins and I love the magnetic pin used to tighten the screws.The only wish I have is that they SmallRig had an accessory I could purchase that has the ball joint on both sides so I could have a longer magic arm with two points of articulation.

In the past I was using cold shoe/ball head type mounts for monitors on top of my cameras but this is much better. Really as sturdy as advertised and the fact they put the little tightening tool in the handle just puts it over the top. Incredible. Very light for how much it will hold.

Pretty heavy duty arm. Good quality made of metal. 3/8 screw at one end and 1/4 on the other. Comes with spare O rings.

This unit attaches very securely to a camera cage and doesn’t let the monitor to spin uncontrolled. It allows you to position the monitor exactly where you need it.

Pretty nice magic arm, very stiff once tightened. However 1 of the locating pins got stuck and stopped springing up after 1 use. Poor quality control.
