You can be confident that these fit properly with the proper cans. I bought the set that has 2 fine thread and 2 coarse thread caps. The coarse thread cap works great on the newer cans with coarse threads like the Midwest cans. The fine thread caps work perfectly on the older style cans like the Blitz cans like the ones I have. You should have no problem using either of these caps, just buy the right type for the can you have and you will be truly satisfied.

They fit on our gas cans. And they make them transportable just as long as the gas can does not tip over. It's a gas can does tip over these rubber stoppers pull right off. However in the back of my pickup truck with the gas cans secure in an upright position there's no more splashing of gas.

For some reason 5 gal gas/diesel cans dont all have the same threads on the mouths. I have purchased several gas cans over the years and didnt need the spouts that came with them, these caps do the job of closing and sealing the mouths but they dont fit all the cans perfectly. Some had to be forced on because the threads were not an exact match but they nevertheless did the job I needed them to do.

They have fine and coarse threads in the selection but these only fit the plastic gas cans. I tried them on 5 different steel gas cans and they didn’t thread on at all. I tested on my blue plastic water jug and it worked, but that’s about it. Only fits the plastic cans.

I wasnt sure which threads I needed. Turns out the Blitz cans are fine thread. Lucky for me I had a few other cans that were coarse thread. I don't think I'd wanna store a can on its side to test the seal but its perfect to keep from splashing during travel and keeps the smells in the can in garage storage. Heavy duty caps.

Out of 8 I had one old can that wanted to eat the rubber seal. But over all I would recommend!! No leaking issues!!

Won't close tightly on some cans.

I have the standard old red 1 gallon and 5 gallon Midwest Can Company gas cans. I was afraid these wouldn't fit, thread properly, or seal on my gas cans. However, I was pleasantly surprised when they fit and sealed on both my cans absolutely perfectly. I would have liked if they were a bit cheaper, but I can say they work great on these cans.
