I was shocked that a academic genogram workbook updated in 2016 would not have trans and other lgbtq+ symbols. Better to call it a Christian genogram workbook. I learned that an update is coming out next year.

This is a very helpful book to get started on exploring your emotional process as shaped by your family of origin. The 20 questions will open your eyes to the ways your family shaped who you are.

I bought this as I was going to a workshop and needed a crash course in genograms. It is clear, relevant, and instructional in how to create a genogram, along with some of the basice concepts of the theory. I would use it in group workshops or for individuals. Many of the questions really made me think about and identify important patterns in my family system. Dr Galindo has created a very clear and useful book.

Book is helpful tool in constructing genograms by hand and learning the different symbols. I like tha t it gives you space to practice on every section. Easy read and easy to understand.

I had to get this for my Marriage and Family Therapy class. My professor likes to use genograms in her practice, basically so she can keep the family drama straight... =)It's great, I love it and super informative and useful!
