I have had this system since 2022 and use it with Hyperoptic broadband and very rarely have had problems while using it. If the network goes down, it takes a bit of time to reconnect and needs regular reboots due to sometimes dropping connections to devices and then blacklisting that device so it only works after a reboot (of the main node) or if you set static IP in the settings. Old 2.4 GHz power plugs lose connection due to IP lease expiring in dchp or your WiFi channel being busy or just not jiving for some reason. You want to analyse your WiFi spectrum to see most busy channels in different areas of your house and then set the correct WiFi channel.

I have StarLink and the routers WiFi is dire. I had an old Deco set-up that worked for a while, but later it was getting very slow speeds and somehow even effecting the main router. StarLink suggested a new mesh system and i got this. It's amazing. Very easy to set-up and the wifi is extremely strong even in an old house that sucks wifi signals out of the air. Each unit has 3 ethernet connections which is really useful. It's been rock solid for a couple of weeks. The only issue I've had is the App. It said main unit was working but the other two were disconnected, but they were working fine. Have done a couple of resets so far which is not great. But the actual wifi has being soild. The app is not highly rated on the itunes store. Overall, I'm very happy considering the cost. I dont need the greatest and fastest system as my Speed tops out at around 320mbps. Just be aware the app is not great. EDIT. It’s turned out to be very janky. All the hubs just randomly lock-up or disconnect. They sometimes show up on the app and sometimes disappear. Entering the password comes back with “incorrect”. You end up having to reset them. Should have done what I suspected in the first place, but something decent.

Bought this as my son was moaning about speed of WiFi & powerline Ethernet in his room. Probably overkill for a 2 bed house but I love it. Easy setup, app good. Great speed with WiFi & wired. The xbox addicted pre-pubescent is happy!! By the way, I couldn’t get this working straight off the Sky fttp box, I had to connect to Sky router. No biggy, just disable WiFi on Sky router.

Once set up this system is working well with good coverage in our large 5 bedroom house. The coverage with the old router and extender was poor. The set up instructions are not good and I was on the verge of sending it back when I realised it had virtually set itself up! Ignore the instructions about accessing the website etc. It couldn't be accessed anyway. I am impressed with mesh wifi!

I've worked in IT for +25 years, with corporate/enterprise WiFi deployment being one of my areas of competency. Before buying these I did actually have enterprise grade (Aerohive) APs running in my home which worked well enough, but were neither pretty or particularly modern anymore (mix of AC Wave 1 and dual radio N), decided upon upgrading my internet to full fibre to replace it with something else. Knowing that the chipsets used in these things are all very much of a muchness (being only a couple of companies that make WiFi silicon) I didn't want to go silly and spend £££ on an Orbi or Eero solution, but looked to not go bargain bin either. Tenda being a half reputable Chinese brand I decided to give these a throw, given they were AX, there were 3 of them (should be more than capable to cover my relatively large home) and on offer. As others have mentioned, set up was a bit of a pain but once sorted it all worked reasonably well. What I have however been finding is that the devices will have a wobble every now and again and rebooting them seems to be the only way to sort them. Then, sometimes the mesh nodes won't come back on line of their own accord...have actually once had to re-pair them all to get them sorted. Also occasionally the devices will make really odd decisions on how to form the mesh, meaning performance drops off a cliff. I didn't really think about it at the time, but as these are only dual radio (and not tri like many) when they mesh they are having to share their backhaul bandwidth with the in use 2.4/5ghz radio, which again isn't overly ideal but at the price something you'd accept. There is a cheaper AC variant of these that does have Tri radio and on that basis I think they might actually prove to be a better option than these for more robust meshing. I've gotten so fed up with them I've resorted to connecting them all together with gigabit power line converters (as I can't be doing with running CAT6 around my home).....but it rather goes against the principle of deploying a mesh solution! The mobile app is also rubbish, and doesn't let you do very much. On that basis the devices aren't overly configurable which is a bit of a shame when you are somewhat used to being able to optimise your setup (though appreciate these are supposed to be plug and play for anyone to be able to set up). I think if Tenda concentrated making the software more robust and feature rich Id be really happy, otherwise they aren't the best out there. I'm only happy I bought them on discount as they are currently £299 and not worth that at all. My 2p's worth.....if I could do it again, I'd probably go buy Aruba Instant On, or maybe UniFi (though they are also plagued with software issues) and just be prepared to pay the premium.

Replaced BT WholeHome 3 disc set up - which didn't quite cover the whole house and didn't reach garage or garden, and poor speeds in bedroom wherever we placed them. Easy-ish installation - one unit was a pain, otherwise quick and simple - all updated and now have just worked for a few weeks with amazing wifi 6 speeds for wifi 6 devices AND the non wifi 6 devices also have a rock steady and fastest ever connection. Garage and Garden also have a rock solid fast connection too as does every nook and cranny in the house. Recently purchased Sky Stream as FTTP installed and thought I was going to have to run Ethernet cables to the lounge due to where the fibre came into the house, router now in the hall - but the rock solid wifi connections this has given me means I don't have to - result. Purchased just before Prime day at a higher price, but a quick on-line chat and Amazon refunded the difference (otherwise I would have re-ordered and returned!) At the offer price I say these are a bargain.

I've owned several Tenda mesh systems and wanted to try WiFi 6 - these however are completely useless Advertised as being EasyMesh compatible with the Tenda router I own - except when meshing to the router nothing connects to them After 3 days of trying I was finally able to get them to mesh in their own loop - and whilst devices could connect to the nodes, the nodes repeatedly lost connection with each other and the internet WiFi 6 speeds are utterly pointless if nothing can keep a stable connection! UPDATE* - Having reached out to Tenda they advised they have specific firmware for this mesh to make it work with the 5G03 router ... Still doesn't work App can't connect to the router when it's meshed to MX12's Connection between the meshes constantly drops out, connection quality varies drastically - one node had excellent connection, another had 'poor' on the other side of the same room, in plain view of each other

My husband has been searching for a mesh system for a while and he was inclined to buy a TP-Link but most of them don't allow you to split the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz WiFi frequencies but this one said it did so he ended buying this one. In his opinion, comparing to more popular brands, the downside is the UI. It's not that it's bad..it's just not as user friendly as TP-Link one for example and if you're a person with little knowledge, this mesh system might not be right for you, unless you're a patient person and perseverance is your middle name. But if you're knowledge is above average, then this mesh system is a no brainer! It ticks all the important boxes and so far it didn't let us down regarding to coverage and stability. In fact, it exceeded all our expectations. Our house has very thick walls and feels like we live in a bunker and with this mesh system, the lowest we got was 20% loss of speed in the furthest corner of the house (which for us is amazing because with PLCs we had like 80% loss). expert tip: whilst doing the setup, once the main node is up and running, just manually add the remaining nodes...it's a very easy process and it will save you tons of time in comparison to automatic setup. Our system kept registering and deregistering the other nodes until we decided to do it manually which consists in tapping for the app to scan nodes around and you tap on the SN of the node you want to add and voilà! Overall it's an extraordinary mesh system with all the features most people will need with an UI that might not be for everyone but we would still recommend it👌

I have used Tenda Wifi Mesh before (MW3) and it was good (Coverage was not the greatest, Ran off Wireless backbone, sometimes loss of connectivity and drop outs). I Have setup this one on a Wired backbone so all nodes communicate through a master node. But, it is frustrating and also means you have to have cabled your home. The instructions from Tenda are lacking and could be clearer , especially for setting up wired backbone network so you retain 1GB between nodes. You can't just connect these into your network from my understanding and expect that if they are plugged into your router that it will work. I Had to put a switch in between (Router to master node --> Master node to switch --> Ports to slave nodes run off the switch). Would have been far easier if I could of just plugged these directly into the router ports without having to put a hop in between as it means all my network now runs through the tenda wifi master. Other wise so far the coverage is far superior to the MW3, it is much faster and for the last couple of weeks has bee solid without any dropouts. If the documentation was better, it had a web interface to connect to the first node for configuration and not rely on the app, I would have given it 5 stars, This really lets down the product. But you pay for what you get. If you want all the bells and whistles, pay the premium and go to another brand that offers more features and options. But if you just want stable wifi to cover your home (We have 5000sq/m to cover) and this does a great job of it.

I don't know why they try and only connect wirelessly. I put them on their own Lan points and still could only get it to work as wireless instead.
