Grape Violet Spectral Paste Colour 25g

It is a very nice purple . But more like in the really grape side . When you want to make it light or dark you add less or more but still as tone it stays more on the pastel kind of side . Not bright purple. Which I did not want vibrant purple so I am very pleased with my purchase.

I will only use sugarflair food colouring since trying it. The colours are vibrant, versatile and do not have a taste. I have tried them in fondant, cake batter and royal icing and they look just as vibrant in each. Have yet to try them in buttercream but have no doubt they will stand up to the challenge. Highly recommend, I have several colours and all are equally excellent.

Used this on icing for my daughters cake. Came out fantastic. It is very strong so a few drops at a time. Maybe use the end of a spoon and then put it into the mixture because it is surprisly how little you need. I have also used it on sponges and it holds it colour. Would recommend it.

gives a nice colour, but it is a gel paste and is quite hard to mix into liquids without actually getting your fingers covered in violet colouring. tried mixing in with the spoon, but does budge off the spoon, then tried another spoon to scrape off with,....no luck there finally had to give it a nudge with my fingertip. I did get a good shade of lilac.............looked great

I love these colours. I find purple colours the hardest to do but this is one of the best I’ve used.

this give a lovely colour to all icing as it's a paste easy to use and able to get the shade you want very easy good for a novice or more experianced cake maker

bought this to colour sugar paste and butter cream and was delight with the beautiful shades of purple which you can get by adding varying tiny amounts of the colouring. With it being a thick gel like consistency it is easy to add small amounts at a time until the right colour is obtained.

Can't really comment on the product as I haven't used it.Ordered the purple colour on 1st December and package arrived a few days later enclosing a bottle of 'ICE BLUE' colouring although the enclosed invoice stated 'GRAPE VIOLET'Immediately messaged via Amazon that morning (Thursday) to advise and to say that this was required urgently for a Birthday cake needed for the Monday. Received a response the next day asking me to forward a photo of the colouring and the invoice, which I had offered to do - emailed this information straight back.Received a further email, when I was at the actual party on Monday, asking me to forward the invoice number as they could not read it from the photo.Emailed back to say that it was in fact too late and expressing my disappointment that they had not took my word for the error and just sent the correct colour out to me. I was told that this was company procedure but I find it a bit bizarre that all of this palaver was required for a £2 bottle of food colouring! Surely they could have sent the replacement to me immediately and looked into the matter afterwards?They are sending me the replacement so I will now be left with 2 bottles of food colouring that I no longer require.Was left a bit disappointed and very inconvenienced to say the least and strangely, from the tone of their emails, like I was in the wrong!
